The Baba-Ahmed Family has a lot of illustrious members including the media giant Khalifa Baba-Ahmed, the very intelligent columnist and former permanent secretary Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed and the former broadcaster Hauwa Baba-Ahmed (now Hauwa Shuaibu-Galma).

Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed is known for his very sharp wit and his debating ability.

Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has been a columnist for a long time and if you read his columns in the 2000s, you would know that he always says what's on his mind, no matter what happens. He can criticise the PDP, if there is need to do so, he can criticise the APC if there is the need to do so and he can criticise the Labour Party (and even his own brother) if it is necessary. Nobody can stop him.

Hakeen Baba Ahmed know nothing about politics to advise a more politically sagacious VP Shettima. It is about earning some income having been out of office for years and never about Nigeria. He also served Saraki as Senate President.
