Critical Points raised by Umahi

~ After spending 14hrs on the road, Umahi wonders how average Nigerians who plies the road, copes.

~ The road is being redesigned with concrete technology.

~ The drainages would be opened so that the road can be worked on

~ The contractor has 7days to come up with the new design.

~ The past administration has good intention for the road but Nigerians doesn't have value for their money. Meaning, the work done on the road so far, doesn't justify the money spent on the road by the past administration.

~ We need to change our beuracracy. The contractor wasn't on sight because they are yet to get their papers signed after three months by BPP. Terrible 😔. Where did the DG go for that past 3 months?.

~ Umahi said imported asphalt are substandard, hence the need for cement technology. He encouraged contractors who wants to use asphalt to set up asphalt plant in Ondo,Ogun states, where there's bitumen.

~ Orders that every contractor must have COREN registered engineers.

~ He has opened Whatsapp group for effective day to day reporting on level of works.

Me thinks Umahi is trying so hard not to speak against the immediate past administration, but you could tell, he's dissatisfied with the works done in the works ministry

I think Nigerians should ask Fashola what he did in the last 8years overseeing the Works, Housing and Power ministry.

Umahi is trying so hard not to speak ill of the immediate minister and the immediate past administration, but you could tell, he's dissatisfied with the state of roads and shabby works done by the minister without engineering knowledge

I love the energy with which this guy is tackling not just the deplorable states of roads across the nation, but the corrupt contractors draining our lean economy.

Umahi is trying so hard not to speak ill of the immediate minister and the immediate past administration, but you could tell, he's dissatisfied with the state of roads and shabby works done by the minister without engineering knowledge

Merging Ministry of Works , Power and Housing was a very terrible idea by Buhari, and making Fashola head 3 major Ministry with thousands of project accross Nigeria was just a bad move

Fashola a Lawyer and not an engineer or project manager couldn't handle the huge responsibility

not entirely correct. Who don useless, don useless. If three ministries were merged and given to Fashola, all may not have had significant improvements but there should have been one of those ministries to point at that had improvements, unfortunately, none . He was very vocal before getting the position that it doesn't take rocket science to fix power, did he fulfill what he boasted about? He became useless immediately he left as governor, unfortunately, he always spoke the loudest

Marginalisation of Igbos simply means that a glass ceiling is put on the height an igbo can reach in the country and that whatever is being shared in Nigeria, the igbos get the least.
It's almost an official government policy. The whole reason why PDP gave Atiku its ticket is because the other major contenders were all igbo and some people won't have it.

Actually Fashola paid the Counterpart funds before contractors were mobilized, and he superzised the project from start to finish... So that technically makes it his project

And he had made it clear that the initial design of the bridge wasn't use, and a new one was designed
