Christistruth00:He rather, led the RPF, the force who actually ended the genocide war. Are you aware that over 800,000 of his tribe died in that war? But he still led to restore peace instead of unleashing more genocide on hutus in revenge. I read deeply of the Rwandan war apart from visiting the country |

SmartPolician:He doing a very good job and his people love him for that. But he should try and raise a worthy person to succeed after his 4th term. By then he will be 73 years old. |

Sit-tight mentality of an average African leader. Thank God, ours is maximum 2 terms for presidency & governorship. A leader who can't mentor a successor is a failure.Paul Kagame should have influenced lots of Rwandans who will be capable to take over from him this year. Rwanda is a shining hope in the Africa continent, but I hope Paul Kagame's move won't be counter-productive. |

festacman:If anyone stays in power contrary to your mental configuration is automatically a dictator. Did the people of Rwanda complain to you?? Because it happened in somalia doesn't make any difference. This is the part the people of Rwanda has chosen so be it. Your country has been changing leadership every 8years, yet no positive indices to show for it. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome said "the people deserve the leaders they elect. |

SmartPolician:so there is nobody that can do more than him in the country? No matter how good is the president, they should have a particular tenure that they can govern and step aside when the tenure ended. They need to work on their constitution. |

The only man who could take the bull by the horn. The only man who cancelled ethnicity and brought a war thorn nation to a tourist empire..... Rule me with such but make my living better. I don't mind. Ask Igbos who are living in Rwanda, they will tell you how that country looks like US to them. Only thing about Rwanda is the high tax in importation asides that, that country is better than Niger 1000x. No cap Person wey never go no know. Get there international passport and see how you'll be a king . Compared to this bleeped up nation with its so called democracy yet can't even attain any level of significance.... Trash |

SmartPolician:Yes But does he have to do that with Dictatorships? This is one of the problems of universal adoption of democracy. Mugabe warned that Africans should develop African democracy.....the type of democracy that is suitable for Africans is quite different from the type that will work in Europe or Asia. For instance....he posited that Africans are used to having kings and a king only got replaced at death or abdication....so African leaders shouldn't be limited to two or three terms.....but should be allowed to rule for life or very long. But Western democracies won't have any of it....it's either you practice democracy the western way or not. All over Europe there are still Monarchies in place and the governments of those countries are subjected to the throne. All Rishi and his government does will still have to be endorsed by King Charles.....who is deceiving who But from Singapore to Rwanda we have seen that for there to be development in Africa or Asia it isn't the same process as in Europe. If we want to talk as democrats ...... We shouldn't regard Lee Kwan Yu or Paul Kagame....they are dictators. |

Power is transitional, Paul kegami should take a rest and let someone else take over I don't care if he turned Rwanda to Dubai he must not go for fourth term that sit tight syndrome should stop |
| Re: Rwanda’s Paul Kagame Wants A 4th Term by benqo01(m): 6:09am On Sep 21, 2023 |
Alabaintprice:You re not being logical here, yes he his done well but going for a fourth term is a big no |
| Re: Rwanda’s Paul Kagame Wants A 4th Term by Rolings: 6:12am On Sep 21, 2023 |
benqo01:All those hailing dictators don't know the implications.....he is simply saying no one else can rule the country but him.....which is a very big lie and a slap in the face of the citizens . Me I don't regard any long term ruler and a democrat even if he goes through election periodically |

Which iron fist? Lemme tell you..Rwandese don't like the man.. The reason they say good things about him is because once you are being caught saying negative things about him, it's jail immediate.. If you want to confirm ask a friend living there.. SmartPolician: |

Rolings: See talk. So a man should be allowed to rule for life as a president? Lol. Even the King of England rules for life as a ceremonial head. He has no say in Government. So Africans should adopt Presidency for life? If Mugabe truly said this he must have been on drugs. Power drunk people always look for excuses to hold on to power. There is nothing wrong with democracy only that African leaders do not want to abide by the principle of it. Rule for two terms of 4yrs each and get the f*ck out of there. People like Kagame are making democracy look bad because he has changed the constitution for his personal interest and there is no way there won't be voter suppression or apathy. Same with Uganda. Presidents trying to rule for life. Democracy on the surface but not in principle. |

That is why they are coup against the African countries are you the only person in the country what save Nigeria in the coup de tat is that in our constitution no matter how you perform as a governor or president you only have one or two terms |
| Re: Rwanda’s Paul Kagame Wants A 4th Term by Rolings: 7:51am On Sep 22, 2023 |
Phraences:@the bolded.... King Charles is the head of government...Rishi is his PM has to be an MP because they practice parliamentary democracy The point is there should be home grow democracy or democracy that fit a people. If we humans belong to different races colour and faiths there nothing that says we shouldn't have different democracies...... Democracy is failing in some places because of the universal adoption of western democracy |
