I am married with a baby. Travelled to US before but passed the Dropbox validity,
So I want to ask the best way to answer the question ‘purpose of travel to US’

Do I say My husband and I discussed that I take my 30 days leave to US on vacation though I will be staying only 3weeks or do I say I am going to visit my family friend and his family whom I haven’t seen since my last trip to US (since I will be staying in their house) ??
Also I am a med personnel and sponsoring myself.

Pls someone should kindly help me through this dilemma.

Nope I don’t, I didn’t get my first visa in Nigeria so I don’t really know how it works here.

Nope, my baby is here in Nigeria with hubby. And I also had her here in Nigeria.

You’ve been to the US you don’t have to panic please.
When asked for your purpose of travel, simple state it as it is, holiday to visit friends. It’s not a cause to panic and when asked how long will you stay just tell them three weeks because you’ll be on leave. Answer honestly to what you’re asked, no addition no subtraction.

Please I need some help with information regarding drop box.
I am currently in the US with my spouse on a L work visa, it is petition based so every 2 years I just have to restamp my visa for entry purposes. My stay validity is not dependent on visa, however if I exit with an expired visa I must restamp at a foreign consulate to reenter.
I am planning on coming to Nigeria for vacation this year and want to use the opportunity to restamp my visa before expiry(already confirmed this is possible). I am eligible for interview waiver and my appointment schedule time is just 1 day. So my questions are listed below.

1. How long does it currently take to get passports back from the day of submission? This is important so I can plan my time off and book accurate flight
2. Can I take my wife passport along and submit for family? That is, does all member of the family have to be present during submission for drop box?
3. Can submission happen in proxy? Lets say the processing wait time for drop box is too long and I decide to come in for a normal interview so I can get my passport back in time, can I apply for drop box on the side for my wife and submit her passport for her?

Try using chrome on your phone then complete the form and submit using your pc. It worked for me though.... Just try it out

Send a mail to the embassy through your portal. Or you can call them. They have the clearer answers to your questions.

You may wanna do this in Mexico US Embassy or Canada US embassy . I think it's just a day trip..
Not sure how long you are coming for vacation and if it's December remember Dec jn Nigeria can be sticky

MTN internet connection times out for some reason.

The solution is to use Airtel network or try any other internet service provider.

VOs don't really take documents from you concerning the marriage cert, but my rule of thumb in life is to have it and not need it than to need it, and not have it.
I don't think you need family photos for the B1/B2 visa, but we don't know the circumstances of your application.

Take same passport and a new passport taken a week or two to your interview because the passports are supposed to be 6 months old at your interview date.

There is a limit to the number of times you can reschedule before you need another MRV. I think 3 times, but confirm on the thread.

Please guys, I am married and i have a sibling who is currently a US citizen and I would like that he help me file for US citizen. I have heard that this can take several years but my question is; can my family and I go on a visit visa and then change to work permit when we get there without having to return to Nigeria and can he file for us for the citizenship when we get there.

Yes you can reschedule up to twice provided you have access to the scheduling calendar.

Yes you can click on reschedule button you pay again only when you have used up your free rescheduling options which is like 2 times

.Thanks for your time.I schedule my b1b2 appointment Nov 1st 2023,But I found out they wrote b1 instead of b1b2 , I'm kind of confuse .hope it wont affect the interview? Though I called them and they said I shouldn't worry but I should mention it to them during interview. Pls let me know what you think.
