motymop:
that is not true tribalism isn't worst than racism
The moment you live the shores of Africa to a non black world, that is when will know that you are a blackman or blackwoman
Racism is worst.
Why are we black people judge as a race unlike white people who are judge individually.
How many blacks can get good jobs in UAE?
How many blacks can attend an indian owned schools in UAE?
Many blacks are use as slaves, house help and security men even if they are qualified for the position in the UAE, they are also paid very low compared to other races
You are easily judge and assume you have nothing to offer because of your skin colour
A black woman is already seen as a prostitute for been with a white or non black, she also has no access to places where white women have access to..go check Dubai
Even Orpah the black billionaire was discriminated in an European bag brand because of the colour of her skin
There was a time black people were kept in zoos
There was a time where you will be killed because you are black
Black people do not have access to loans unlike white people and are given high interest rate.
There was a time white people do not allow black people in universities
Till today, if lot of blacks pack to a white area, white flight will happen
Till today whites do not integrates with blacks, that is why in many white countries, blacks lives separately from whites. In Brazil that has significant black population, black people are rarely given opportunity or even showed on tv
In tribalism, you still have lot of opportunities.
Do you know the trauma many blacks are facing living in spaces for other races
if something is missing, it is assume you are the one, some non black even look at blacks as having a dirty skin
explaining racism to non black people always end up with you are over reacting and it is downplayed
Do you know why many blacks are always aggressive in Europe and America, Asia and south America, it is because of racism.
Wow ! Tribalism having opportunities.... Hmmm 3 Likes |

How about you shut up and let the African-Americans who have been at this fight for centuries continue their work. You clowns show up and think you know left from right. You're wrong. Systemic racism is institutionalized or structural racism. Preventing black people from having fair representation by diluting their voting block is systemic racism. I get your point. But Racism is unsolvable if the stereotypes associated with Black people persist, people have been racist towards me - certainly; but have the government in the United States been oppressive towards black folks- I don't think so. The issue of affirmative action that made black folks get into universities easier than Asians who merited it is a perfect idea of systemic racism but we don't have to talk about that. No matter how we see it - stereotypes are very important; the Polish government in 2007 enacted a law that made it extremely difficult for Black people to come into the country due to the fact that the news of black folks in Dallas who traveled to Finland to kill a gang member caught their attention. Nigerians are temporarily banned to travel to the UAE because of the trespassing of more than six Nigerian citizens who came there to kill a rival gang member(s) There's even more racism towards our blackselves; a friend of mine in Arkansas opened a flowery which succeeded but was shunned by black folks because it was too expensive to run by a black woman; black people kill more black people everyday; We see black children on Tiktok acting like they're gang members, this things affect the psyche of other races when they see all this; it isn't right to generalise - that's true but shit happens. Gangs and drugs is even considered cool and 'black culture' by black people, it should be avoided. It's crazy for Africans not to support black Americans in there fight but black Americans also have to find ways to change what is deemed their culture since it affects good black people everywhere too. I’ve experienced what you described many times and not only is it very embarrassing, it makes me so angry. These coons will stand around, laughing and smiling while White people make racists comments about Africans and make them the butt of their jokes and when other Africans avoid and ignore them, they’ll call them jealous. No, they aren’t jealous, they have dignity and refuse to let Whites treat them like sub-humans. I used to work with a Nigerian guy that would let these two White ladies tell other White employees jokes about his hut and monkey back in Africa. He would laugh louder than the White people and when his position was cut, none of those White people even tried giving him a job referral or reference. When the tables finally turn on these coons, they want to run to other Blacks to help vindicate them against the Whites that they thought loved them so much. What other blacks are you referring to if I may ask? Maybe family members or other close associates because last I remembered Black Americans/Black British discriminate Africans and are rude to them using slangs like "freshie", "fresh off the boat" and are rude in their interactions with them. They don't miss an opportunity to display their dislike of Africans. So I wonder? This is aside the the topic of discussion but just pointing that out. 1 Like |

The main focus should be on Africa, when Nigeria ( the most populous black country in the world) develops and also controls its own information through the mass media, we will get respected. Note: This is not an Anti Japa thread. Nigerians must remember south africa as a living house of discrimination. one colleague at work threaten my life thinking he will go scot free matter is now in the court. He has done many things to make me unwelcome, uncomfortable and disenfranchised through constant harassment, intimidation, shaming and xenophobic behaviour for almost 10 years of his being with us. In the government sector, where i work there are thousands of workers. I am the only Nigerian but one is too much for them as they work harder than their work to want to rid me of the job. Its a shame that Nigerians welcome these vagabonds and even encourage them when they come to us but they cannot reciprocate a single gesture. Every Nigerian has one problem or another from these wicked people. although some of them are good but very rare breeds. |

A Cameroonian shouted time "I AM NOT A NIGERIAN" with anger in his eyes when I mistook him for a Nigerian. Nigerians and the world have made me selfish and hardened. They will always come close when they need something from you and will never offer you any advantage.
When I first came to Canada. I looked up a church online and called the church number. I told them I was a newcomer with three children and a little bit stranded in Canada. I had no friends in Canada at the time, I just looked up the map, selected a province, and landed with my family, little kids included in -30degree of windchill.
The church collected my address, came to my house with a truck delivered full of furniture, a dining table, and 3 queen mattresses, and gave my wife a gift card of more than $500. with all these, I was never proselyted or invited to their church. Can this ever happen in any churches in Nigeria?
Your guess is as good as mine.
I quickly connected three Nigerian families from a different tribe and they all went to this church and got their entire houses furnished. One of the guys, I helped get a job when he came crying to me and I used the truck from my white friend, Donald, to help him make a mover when he got a new house. I thought we were fellow blacks and Nigerians and we could be there for each other.
After a while, He realized I was not from his tribe and started being tribalistic and I cut him off. It's pointless trying to befriend tribalists. Don't waste your time next time. 1 Like |

Do you see tik top videos of white children fighting? Have you ever watched a hockey game? The WWE? What's the difference. Let's revisit hockey for a sec. In hockey, fighting is part of the game. They allow players to literally pummel themselves. Do you hear anything about the players being angry or not being able to control themselves? Now imagine if they were black and/or that type of thing happened in a basketball game? Probably brushing up on your up on African American history would help some. 2 Likes |

IjeBoss is one of the few Nigerian men in this country that took the time to learn about this country’s history in order to gain an understanding of how things really work—and he’ll always have my respect. It’s embarrassing because many Nigerians here in America align themselves with racists even going as far as to tell racist jokes about Black people to White people, not realizing that to White people, they are Black and perhaps of a lower class. Matter of fact, some of them will immediately upon arrival in the states tell White people that they aren’t Black, they’re Nigerian. They talk bad about African Americans with White people not knowing the same White people tell jokes about Nigerians being scammers and fake princes. They don’t realize that the White men aren’t laughing with them, they’re laughing at them. I wish they would learn who is on their side and who isn’t. Thanks. Took an African American history class as an elective senior year. It changed my perspective, especially the dates. You would think all the segregation happened such a long time ago. Just realizing that there are people still alive who couldn't sit at the same counters, drink from the same fountains or go to the same schools as white people puts everything in perspective. 6 Likes |
