A dependant to a student was denied switching to skilled worker visa bcs of the new rule. The case worker cited thar the new rule affects the dependant too. See the attached

This case worker is not alright. I can tell you for a fact that the new rule doesn't affect dependent. I know people that applied recently and their dependents got their visa. The student didn't apply with the dependent

It's possible the COS the dependant used had a start date that is after the student's course end date.

Ok, then tell your employer to write a sponsor note on the COS stating that your start date is Oct 21.

Then you can go ahead to apply for visa with peace of mind. Goodluck

You can go ahead and apply, the earlier the better as the MA while the dependant applies later on
