I have no problem with today's Delta Ibos.

My only concern is that just like in 1966 , so many are being decieved by IPOB revanchism.

If they want to go , so be it.

After all, Ibo speaking parts of Delta remain the poorest contributors to the state and have benefited more due to Asaba being imposed as the capital by the influence of Maryam Babangida.

The call for Ibo expulsion was loudest after Murtala chased biafran troops out of Midwest but the good people of old Bendel let things slide and even contributed to rehabilitating Bendel Ibos who suffered from the mini pogroms that greeted the liberation of Midwest.

The issue here is that the loudest calls for Anioma state is not from within Delta north but miscreants across the Niger.

And I dare say if Anioma state is created today, same Delta Ibos will insist on using a prefix to distinguish themselves from Ibos across the Niger and will refuse to be part of the SE Geo-Politcal zone

As I said, I am not in the position to decide for Delta Ibos if they want to stay or leave but if it was down to me I will have them expelled from Delta let them go have their own state as I see them returning back to their madness by supporting Biafraism.


I will rather have them out of Delta because I know that the only reason you ohu pigs from across the river are pushing for Delta Ibos to be included in your ohu assembly is so that you can use them as a foothold to get to the southern Delta parts where the wealth is.


So, in hindsight , I will prefer Delta Ibos be given their state so that what is transpiring in Rivers with you ohus using ikweres to claim the entire state will not be replicated in the non Ibo speaking parts of Delta.
