OkpaNsukkaisBae:In a school like UI, to make first class or second class upper, the code is to get the lecture notes and past questions of the courses from stalites (students in higher levels) and do all assignments (some of those assignments will come out in the tests and exams) and study ahead of the class right from 100 level. Provided one's foundation is good in the key subjects from secondary school, this is the code to make a first class or 2.1 in that school in the sciences at least. So, basically la cram la pour go work many times. But if they bring one crazy lecturer that likes to test the understanding of students by setting questions not found in the past questions (using the type asked in exams like Physics GRE and co), most students will fail that course including the brilliant ones. When I was in school, I had such an experience in my finals. One brilliant lecturer from OAU, who was on sabbatical leave, taught us a course one semester, and he was the type that loved testing student's understanding of concepts and principles. So, he departed from the norm (of asking questions from past questions and class assignments); most of us failed the course, and only few managed to get 4 point (UI used to operate with 7 points then). His questions were like Physics GRE and laid an emphasis on application of what he taught us, i.e., he loved testing understanding and application of concepts. We all hated that man that time. But it was some years after I graduated, I actually understood him and loved his methods. If we were taught science in the mother tongue then, that understanding and the knack to apply what we were taught (to invent and problem-solve) would come naturally. No need for la cram la pour. |

CrystalTiger: I did my search. Not many actually. Kwankwaso gave his deputy Ganduje too. Ganduje did the same thing and gave his deputy Gawuna. I saw something and is quite funny. Former governor of Enugu, Sullivan Chime impeached his deputy through the house. Chime said the deputy governor was operating poultry in government house 4 Likes |

Singapore has grown to be one of the world's fastest and biggest economies. English is the lingua franca of Singapore. English is what is spoken in Singapores parliament, courts and schools despite the country having some indigenous languages. Use of English did not inhibit the growth of Singapore and it's economy or society. Let no one use sentimental bullshite to propose policies that are built on sand. Policies that are of very minimal gain if not outright regression. 3 Likes

Itsrm:He is a good candidate if not the best out of the rest but he lacks structure to win an election that has taken an ethnic dimension. He is from Kogi West same as Dino of PDP with 7LGs, then we have Ajaka who is from Kogi East with 9LGs and more population then, Ododo of APC from Kogi Central with 5LGs and power of incumbency. The fight is still between APC and PDP and to some extent SDP. |

Amoto94: He claims they have a better structure than PDP seeing as they did better than PDP in the last HOR elections. He really does seem like a good candidate. A great loss to APC in the state. |

Itsrm: The link provided is not working. i don't know who you are referring to. Muri? Ododo? or Dino. The situation in kogi state mirrors that of the national election held this year. The three major contestants come out of the three zones. That Muri guy can be best described as Peter Obi of kogi state who, until few days to APC primary , decamped to SDP and riding on his ethnicity to gain popularity. Giving the fact that his zone is the most populous and also with highest LGs, he is expected to win in a free and fair election...... The election is technically between APC of Ododo and SDP of Muri. DINO of PDP can leverage on recent tribunal victory for PDP in the state. PDP TECHNICALLY has 2 senators for now which, if stand, can help the party to pull some reasonable numbers and also help check rigging incase anybody wanna misbehave. All in all, i don't see PDP WINNING sha. i might be wrong though. The major advantages of APC is that, they control almost all HOAs, majority of REPs and all the SENATORS ( bar tribunal rulings) and the power of incumbency.... another important factor is the fact that while CENTRAL is locked for APC and reasonable numbers from east of MURI - giving his deputy is from there - None has his deputy from central. in more clearer term..... APC = Candidate (Central) deputy ( East). PDP = candidate (West) deputy (East) SDP = candidate (East) deputy (west). You can see the EAST is technically screwed follow by West. Which is an advantage to APC and a factor against MURI too. IN A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION, MURI WILL HAVE UPPER HAND BUT THIS IS NIGERIA!!! |
