You have "spoken" well.

Just that where you saw emotion, I saw passion. The man is really passionate about his business and you can tell he loves his country despite the harsh business terrain.

I had sworn never to buy any of his products after the story of the arrest broke out but I had a change of mind after I watched the interview.

Did you get to the part where he exposed CBN? Things dey happen for this country o cheesy.
I didn’t watch the CBN part; I only watched the parts he addressed the lady’s video and subsequent arrest by the police . But normally a lot dey go on in this country na.

That’s why I said people doing business in this country despite how dysfunctional the business environment is are the real MVP . He has over 3,000 staff can u imagine how many mouth he’s feeding like that ? Yet he will still be dealing with so many challenges like staff trying to steal from him, competitors trying to steal his market share , importers importing cheaper substitute for his product , lack of credit facility , etc .

I feel the man’s pain actually , I just feel a PR professional would’ve helped him set records straight better . For example those senators he was name dropping as those who begged on the lady’s behalf , they may not be happy with him doing that on an international TV station . He may have made more enemies with that without him knowing .

So it turned out that, to even get dollar at CBN rate under Emefiele as a manufacturer, you have to pay additional 60 or 70 naira on each dollar or you kiss your form M goodbye. He said that while the bank will debit you the actual CBN rate of say 410, you have to pay the 60/70 naira to another account. So a manufacturer that needs 1m dollars will pay bribe of 60 or 70m naira.

No wonder some of them collect the dollar and rather than use it to import raw materials as intended, they round trip it in the black market.

This country is cursed

Leave APC as a party out of Kogi Politics. Yahaya Bello's thug.

Yahaya Bello is a very violent somebody. All he knows is fight, chaos and violence. He knows nothing about governance.
Same Yahaya Bello was hailed as "White Lion" on this very thread, and praised as the man who'd cage Obi, making sure the later would get negligible votes in the state during the presidential election by all means necessary.

They praised when Bello declared he'd secure maximum ballots for Tinubu, even though he causes chaos in the process.
Why complain with Bello replicating same barbaric antics to install his anointed?

Omo !😳

I know there was rot in the CBN under Buhari’s government (The same way there was rot in almost all ministries and govt agencies due to Buhari’s lackadaisical attitude to supervision ) but I didn’t know it got to this level .

This is why I think locking up Emefiele alone would not do, the deputy governors and directors that worked with him should also be grilled . Some Nigerian yam surely dey stuck to their throat alongside their boss emefiele

Emefiele and Buhari in any sane country will rot in jail. When the CBN is engaging in this kind of open stealing, bribery and corruption, how can they properly regulate the banks? And I know we have not heard the worst of it, a lot of things are still being covered up. If another party had won the presidential election, several can of worms would have been thrown open.

Yes o, dem go leave one prison on Earth and enter into another one when they die in the heaven of their god. At least, their prophet, Muhammad, said it clearly that life on Earth is a prison to the Muslims.

That's a fact anyone, who strives to observe Islamic injunctions the way Muhammad and his companions did, knows as they're well aware of their chains (the mental type).

They know clearly they're in mental slavery.

The news report isn't surprising. The Muslims engaged in an act of terrorism on the birthday celebration of the founder of terrorism itself, Muhammad.

When science develops to an extent on this planet, that religion will be added to the list of crimes against humanity in the future. The level of hate speech and barbarity in Qur'an is mind-boggling.

Ok, Obasanjo, Jonathan should equally be in jail then because someone stole money when they were president.

Buhari, a very honest man will never steal your money. People that are very close to him will always use the adjective (honest) to qualify him.

In 2020, the Covid 19 year our GDP growth was negative from the previous year. Over -6,% in the Q2 and over -3% in the Q3 .

In 2016, our GDP growth was negative. Over -1.5%. How would you cover for those fall if you don't borrow from CBN or externally?

USA had a growth rate of over -2% in GDP in 2009 and it really affected them economically. It slowed down their economy.

USA economy almost crashed twice in the past but JP Morgan came to that rescue twice. JP Morgan acted like their Federal Reserve and help save the economy at that time.

Buhari, the honest man from Daura. Femi Adesina.

nigeria for nigerians. you pay to play. 70/410 is 17%.
which is what i have referenced repeatedly. after a point, you accept that greasing palms is a way of business in nigeria - but you still have to cope with the madness where people expect to be paid insane amounts as bribes . which is why we inevitably have galloping inflation, collapsing buildings etal.

Tribal marks are a key aspect of Isese, the totality of Yoruba culture and traditions. In the past, this tradition was important, especially during war times. However, it has since outlived its usefulness and should be abolished in modern times.

This Erisco Foods Limited case brings back memories.

These photos were taken on July 25, 2017 at the Magistrate Court of Ogun State, Otta the day the dubious charge filed against one Mr. Joachim Iroko for allegedly naming his dog “Buhari” was struck-out.

The police in Nigeria needs serious soul searching. I recall that people defended the police at the time and accused Iroko of incitement.

The police in Nigeria can arrest a person for every imaginable reason.

If a husband does not make love to his wife to her satisfaction, she can give money to the police and the police will arrest the husband and frame charges against him. If the wife moans too loudly during sexual intercourse, the police can also arrest the wife if the husband pays them enough money.

In the same 2017, I also defended a lady at Ago-Iwoye Magistrate Court in Ogun State whose husband a Lieutenant Commander in the Nigerian Navy (now deceased), had her arrested using the same Nigeria Police Force after she moved out of their matrimonial home and took her belongings with her. The police charged her for house breaking and burglary (ridiculous charges). She only took her personal properties.

In 2018, I also defended three persons (Next-of-Kin) who were arrested for protesting in front of the Akwa Ibom State Government House for the entitlements of their deceased family members who were primary school teachers. The Nigeria Police Force charged them for “attempt to commit suicide”. They claimed that protesting in front of the Government House was suicidal.

You may think that these cases can only happen In Nollywood movies, but they were actually instituted in Nigerian courts by the police.

Some of us will always side with the oppressed once we perceive abuse of power and oppression.

While you are defending the weaponization of the police institution by Erisco, remember that you may be a victim tomorrow.

This is what I was telling Itsrm . The Erisco man might be correct that the lady defamed him and his company in the video she made, but the police has no business arresting the lady on his behalf .

The right thing to do is to sue the lady for whatever damage her video might have done to his business . Using police to arrest her as if sue had committed a crime against the state ni just make sense .

Now I read the lady will be suing the company for N500m and she claimed the apology letter she wrote was under duress .

Las las the whole thing will go on and on and erisco brand may make more enemies than friends however the case ends

Bro, I don't rate that idiot.... Even on my FB page, my post about his style of governance is there for all to see. If I have to support a serial killer and dumb person like Bello, there is need to question my Education.

One can only argue my post from his early administration where there was high hope of new administration and power shift. So, many people were expecting some kind of relief and paradigm shift from the powers that have held kogi down. Alas! He turns out to be worst!

The Governor is from Central same as me, same LG, same locality, same clan and I can point to his ancestoria home on my way home. Merely calling him "white lion" does not justify anything. They guy is as crook as anything and this is evident in his administration so far.

Well, aside this "white lion" and maybe my post in his early administration, I don't think there is any of my post justifying his maladministration.

I don't know what you meant at bolded Sha.

Whether the election is free and fair or not, it's always very difficult for Obi to win kogi state. You can argue he might pull a higher number compare to what he had, anybody who knows election dimensions in kogi state knows this!
