Op, Igbos were not even marginalized at all! Infact, they were the ones running nepotism then! 75% of government parastatals then were Igbos..

Ojukwu declared biafra solely because the power Igbo grabbed thru coup, they were unable to use it! They had destroyed our regionalism with the believe they’ll be controlling us all from the centre but nature caught up on them! They didn’t know Ironsi would end up like that so soon!

The moment that failed, he moved to the next plan which is Biafra! Ojukwu knew with the federalism, he would be powerless and useless since there was no more regional power! It wasn’t as if Ojukwu had any visionary plan ahead for Biafra & that was the beginning of his failure! Igbos that saw thru & beyond didn’t follow Ojukwu. They stayed back here in Nigeria! The ones that followed him paid dearly & heavily for it!
