The man currently occupying Aso Rock should pick up the phone and make the call. It won't take anything from him or make him look weak. You can't win all the time. Sometimes you have to stoop to conquer. All those advising him to grandstand have no idea what they are talking about.
A simple wiretapping allegation led to the first impeachment of a US president. A land grabbing allegation led to Clinton almost being impeached. A silly request by Trump led to him almost being impeached and then losing his 2nd term election.
The people advising the occupant of Aso rock are the same people who thought that staging the kidnap of girls from their hostel would help reduce the voting strength of their opposition. History shows they were wrong. And when it was hijacked from them, they then decided that burying their head in the sand was the best solution. The president should do the right thing.
