You guys complain about lack of chances but are quiet when he misses sitters. Abi you didn’t see another sitter missed today?
Sitter that he hustled by himself? If there was good supply would he not eventually score and make up for the miss? And besides the miss was not due to bad marksmanship but good goalkeeping on the part of the Gk.

Facts
TheSuperNerd:
Exactly. Haaland for instance missed 28 big chances last season in the EPL but nobody talks about that because he literally bagged a record 36 in the league alone. The higher the volume of chances a striker gets, the higher his goals but also the higher his misses.

I'm not disputing this. My point is that goals get the points at the end of the day and whichever player that guarantees these goals is the most important.

All these chances creation, possessions, key passes are means to an end. Without goals, they're useless.

Without chance creations, control or the others, goals will not come. The most important player is the one that makes all the other players perform better and also do his own role well.

To confirm your point,

Using Rudiger, Osimhen was more a threat vs Rudigher than Haaland was over two legs vs Madrid. He was a good distraction anyways. But Rudiger hearam. Inwas shocked with his display tonight vs Saliba. He looked really ordinary. Drought season or he's exposed.

Me use to feel that one of the topmost reasons we don't employ top managers for GWG is this issue of controlling the Invite list. Nff guys to get ego and that clashing with a top manager that knows his onions dey fear dem well, hence chewing gum appointments.

That answers my question. You have no particular reason why. Valuation of Hector does not give any detail of his performance this season.
So the one he typed is not a reason? Na wa o, you can say it's not a good enough reason for you and that will be fair instead of insinuating the man is illogical and a dummy, can't think clearly hence he has no reason. Bro, that's just it. As long as Osimhen scores, that's all, they can go on to lose for all I care.

Me and my guy were watching this match together on my phone, all of them know I love Osimhen, this guy doesn't even watch football, but he say Make he see wetin dey make me shout Osimhen upandan, he was the one that said these people aren't passing the ball to him, he could've scored at least three even if he missed two open net chances - Person wey no dey watch ball o! But I was happy when Osimhen scored that penalty - joy choke me 😤

Exactly, leave this one make he dey talk wetin he feel like, goalkeeper did his job and Osimhen is the bad striker, lol 😂

How many chances were created? I'm not sure a lot of these guys watched Osimhen last season. If you did, you will know what is happening here and not whining on every chance missed! All strikers are bound to miss chances, some even miss chances easier than that one.

If the goal scorer doesn't convert the chances, all the efforts of the team would be a waste. That's the simple logic.

And then rate Osimhen a goalscorer ahead of Kvara. That's the argument Kog45 is hung on.

One day this thread will move on from this ceaseless Nwakali debates
In football we have stats sites like Fotmob,Sofascore and whoscored that gives credence to player rating, though to me not conclusively enough…When I said Hector was the best using his valued to the club as my point, comdo said NO citing stats sites and I moved on.

In a court for instance,If I said Hector Hernandez was the best Chaves player but the opposite lawyer said NO using fotmob and sofascore to nail me and judge ruled that I have no case.

A case comes up again on the same issue and I said Hector is the best as at today citing the same fotmob, sofascore as my references used in the first case by opposite Lawyer to win…..pls I want you to act as a Judge in this case.

You are trying so hard to be smart and maneuvering on this issue by limiting the argument to only fotmob and sofascore when that was only presented as part of the points being made on the fact that even eye test reveal that Nwakali is more crucial and more important to how Chaves play compared to Hector Hernandez. THE POINT WAS ALWAYS THE IMPORTANCE OF EITHER PLAYERS TO CHAVES' SETUP. Just like how Osimhen is more crucial to Napoli's setup than even a Kvara or Zielinski because he has to work twice as hard as most strikers to get Napoli going in the final third & even drops into the 2nd phase to link up plays with his hold up plays.

You are here pushing so hard to downgrade a fact and even lied in the process saying Hector scored 14 goals last season and saying Hector was their best player last season when he actually wasn't. You should also present that in your so called court.

Now let us come to this fotmob, Sofascore angle... So a player occupied first position on the stats rankings from weeks 1 to 7 as a midfielder while a striker already on 4 goals has been ranked 2nd thanks especially to his goals.

Now this striker bags a hattrick and it catapults him to first marginally in week 8 with the midfielder also dropping another fine performance but now falls slightly behind on stats ratings alone.

All of a sudden, you think you have a case to show Hector is actually the best?

7 weeks of being number 1 against 1 week of jumping to number 1 thanks to a hattrick?

So one week performance is enough to show a player is the best compared to 7 weeks of consistent showing from a midfielder who didn't even need goals to get his top stats ratings?

Look, like I have said before, we both know you don't rate Kelechi Nwakali.

You exposed yourself the day you said Nwakali was average vs Farense and Moreirense. A Complete Fallacy and biased take.

I replied you with hard facts... I said:

"Also, he wasn't average against Farense. nwakali completed the most accurate passes (62) in the entire game for both teams. He was also the most fouled player in that game (was fouled 5x). Additionally he created 2 chances and recorded 20 final third pass entries with 14 recoveries. average showing?? That is not true."

"Also, vs Moreinense, he again wasn't average. He created the most chances in that game (3 created) and also won the most duels (10). He also delivered 14/18 accurate long balls with 13 progressive final third pass entries. Average again?? Nope Kog, it is not true."

YOU LIED ABOUT HECTOR BEING CHAVES' BEST LAST SEASON.

YOU LIED ABOUT HOW MANY GOALS HECTOR HAD.

AND YOU LIED ABOUT NWAKALI'S SHOWINGS AGAINST FARENSE AND MOREIRENSE.

Kog45, kindly rest. I know your game.

Having an opinion is understandable but it is also funny or absurd when such opinions can't be backed. It makes the opinion seem manufactured and backed by an agenda.

This is where you said he was average in two games he actually excelled. I want you to really look at yourself and be honest. The next post showing the stats... are those the stats of an average outing?

Kog45:
Yes he was average against Fareinse and Moreinense,my opinion.Pls does putting him and Mikel in the same sentence stop him being average in matches.

These stats below... are they truly and honestly the stats an average midfield outing portray? I hate dishonest takes.

You claim you are neutral and have an opinion but when it is dishonest and untrue, better be ready to be called out on it, Kog45. Good day.

TheSuperNerd:
That is not the point. The fact you putting him as a player close to the Mikel Mould yet always seem to be reserved about him screams some form of contradiction on your part.

A Lesson on Football Patience as a coach thrives towards building a masterpiece team

Arsenal showed it last season but faltered slightly losing ground. I expected them to be Champions but Saliba's absence happened and then Rico Lewis emerged for Man City and John Stones became Beckanbauer. Those turned things around whether you understand how or not.

But Pep had seen this coming. Oh yes he did. Like Mourinho did too.

The point: Those who are so fixated on immediate results are the ones who won't look deeper and observe if a team is actually working towards progress or being a super team or not. What's more important for the long run is what you are building as a team. It doesnt matter what the results show for a while, as long as you are committed to that path to progress, results will eventually come. Arsenal are seeing the fruit now. I hope they sustain it to finally fulfill my prediction that this Arteta's team are Champions in waiting.

How it relates to the Super Eagles: Exact same point except in our case, our coach clearly doesn't have a tactical roadmap to building or strengthening the team based on the available pool of talents we boast. JPES lacks the knowhow to profile our players right and this is why we keep missing it in personnel deployment. It is an unhappy sight seeing a coach just not knowing what to do as regards addressing what will uplift the quality of our team plays. All he does is just pick players and HOPE. There is no hope here... you should have a proper analytical reason for picking players especially related to what a team lacks and can afford to fix to improve our plays. Nothing is 100% certain in football, yes, but a true analytical reflection and honest tactical profiling of our pool puts the odds in our favour.
