epa domo oh. Benin kingdom is the most recognized heritage of their people. This is where a king is truly king. Food cheap. Good schools. Tourist attractions and of course the benin club of 1931. Beautiful golf courses around ubth and GRA. All affiliated with the best golf courses and clubs in the world. This is a place where the most dreaded criminal Anini Lawrence was caught by the most respected police officer ever lived and is still living in Nigeria. Sir Parry Osahinde. If you come benin ask of their yellow yam and the popular izokun (leaf and peppered stew rice). To mention but a few visit the great ogba zoo and try enter mama Ivie pepper rice that clears your alcohol hangover in the morning. See this country is blessed.

A civilization that has existed for more than 3000 years, great warriors that warded off the hordes of Islamic jihadists from capturing southern Nigeria.

When majority of the inhabitants of this space now called Nigeria were bush men, Benin people built civilized societies...and their bronze works are priceless, the British stole the bronze works and placed in their best museums, till today they find it hard to release them. In short men are Kings.

Are you really thinking that you’re talking to a kind or what? My university days was in benin and the was never a cultist. Benin land has blessed me so much that I roll with captains of industries and prominent nice guys. There’s no place you can’t find social vices. For your information I graduated from uniben in the year 2007 and my certificate is damn intact without any forgeries. I guess you were still bathing on your tummy then. I guess mufasa na that monkey wey dey lion king? Una two resemble well well.

This is what you were told, but how can a people that had ogodomigodo dynasty, ogiso dynasty, I mean a well established hierarchy system of kingship look for kings from outside, if you look at the timeline you will know that Benin people have existed as a civilized people for a long time, I mean thousands of years, so this is a folklore by your folks, we have ours too, of how the Benin prince went to Ile ife and became their king there. Let's just agree that both Benin and yorubas are great people. Empire states, this much is true.. But Benin oba didn't come from Ile ife.

That is what your folks told you, we have our own history too, I can even show you from independent sources, but that's not important, no need to chase clout, but it's a fallacy. If you look at the strength of the Benin empire, going far all the way to southwest, having influence to Dahomey, you will know what you are saying are fallacies. The same way we were told a Benin prince ruled Ile ife is the same way you were told a Yoruba prince ruled Benin. But it's a lie, Benin people are a warrior tribe, very proud, they can never allow an outsider rule them. It's folklore.

This your link is folklore man, the writer was not explicit about anything, just talking about beliefs, myths, and heresays, stop spreading unverified information. Show me interviews, verifiable links and news media.

It is also in Jacob Egherevba's book "A short History of Benin"

Jacob Egherevba was a Benin high Chief he too confirmed that it was from Ile Ife that the first Ogiso Obagodo came
