God bless you for being politically enlightened , atiku took a gamble and I'm sure he knows if it doesn't pay off he is doomed , tinubu will come for him both home and abroad , before the elections when emefiele took that naira redesign gamble I said it that if it doesn't work and tinubu wins then the cbn governor is doomed , well we can see what happened, same fate awaits atiku .

Emefiele took a gamble against Tinubu and lost...a wise politician would have seen the trajectory...and avert but like you rightly concluded...same fate awaits atiku. He is no wise politician..his insatiable lust for the seat of power has erroded is instinct for self-preservation...he is gonna learn the hard way.

I am not a fan of Atiku Abubakar but this write-up is a mere trash.

Come on, from time immemorial, politicians and businesspeople have exploited the mistakes, shortcomings, weaknesses, scandals of their opponents or competitors to their advantage. And there are many instances of election losers turning winners overnight in Nigeria because of problems with qualifications, tax returns, age falsification, etc of their opponents. Atiku didn't commit any sacrilege by dragging President Tinubu naked in the market place. He was just trying to play the game the way it has been played from the beginning of time. The fact is that if Tinubu was in Atiku's shoes, he would have done the same or even worse.

By the way, I feel that Tinubu anticipated something like this and worked ahead to surround himself with political heavyweights with heavy war hefty wallets and extensive influence.

The lack of support from PDP governors, NASS members and prominent members actually painted Atiku's legal battle as PERSONAL rather than PARTISAN. I am not sure if this aloofness is handiwork of Tinubu or it is just that these PDP heavyweights also have skeletons like Tinubu and therefore considered Atiku's actions as going too far for a mere local political contestation. Whatever it is, Atiku is fast looking like an orphan and may in fact run to Dubai on a long exile when Tinubu exercises his executive power in retaliation.

From all indications, only a miraculously favourable Supreme Court ruling will save him.
We will see if Tinubu will hit back at Atiku or not.

We are not interested in all these rhetorics. If you have evidence, GO TO COURT!

Atiku saw that Tinubu is a certificate forger and went to court, so stop disturbing the internet and get to court!

Hogwash load of garbage. Atiku is not a Saint, but he has done Nigeria a great favour for exposing all the criminality of Tinubu that he has kept opaque for years.

THIS IS THE SUMMARY OF LIES IN THIS ARTICLE!

Tinubu got a diploma from the institution. It has also clarified that Universities in the US do not prioritise issuance of certificates but only transcripts.

In the case of loss of such certificate, as in the President’s case, third parties are allowed to reissue them which is where he obtained his from.

Do you have any conviction that you can share? Or even a civil forfeiture like the one Tinubu did

Tinubu mistakenly shared flats with drug lords in Chicago: Festus Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, chief spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has said Bola Tinubu, the party’s flag bearer, only shared a “block of flats” with notorious cocaine dealers in Chicago, pushing back after the release of court documents that suggested Mr Tinubu’s ties to illicit drug business and money laundering in the United States.

“What happened was that Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people…(sic). I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he happened to be in that block of flats too.

“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account,” Mr Keyamo said on Wednesday on Channels Television programme to exonerate the former Lagos governor from the fresh controversies that had been trailing his involvement in drug peddling.

Peoples Gazette on Tuesday published certified copies of the 1993 case as recently released by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

The documents confirmed that the U.S. government had in July 1993 sought forfeiture of proceeds of narcotics Mr Tinubu was accused of laundering. The matter was resolved in a compromise between the Tinubus and the U.S. authorities, with the Tinubus being asked to keep the money in the Heritage Bank account while the $460,000 in the Citibank account was forfeited.

Tinubu is most corrupt politician. He's worst than Atiku.

Chicago drug baron must go. He's a disgrace to Nigeria and his Yoruba tribe. He will never be respected overseas.

CSU never issued him a diploma and he never requested for one. He had no missing certificate.

Those he appointed to loot are the ones supporting him and attacking Atiku. Those don't want any political criminal to be exposed so that the usual turn by turn looting will continue.

Atiku is definitely desperate and also a closet tribalist. I wonder why he thinks sensible southerners would support his bid for the presidency after Buhari a Fulani northerner like himself just completing 8 years. He should have supported Obi or Wike but I guess he feels superior to them

I believe his corruption case files will be revisited soon cos Jagaban no be mumu Jonathan

Is there anything in the piece that's relevant? That's the question. If he claims atiku is all that, why didn't he simply approach the courts to have him disqualified? It's an hatchet job. Image smearing to achieve an end just like Mike Achimugu who is now feeding fat from this administration. May i ask what you're getting defending wrong

Thanks to Atiku’s lack of a sense of self preservation, he saved us from Baba Iyabo’s 3rd term agenda attempted coup against our democracy. Thanks to him.

December 18, 2013

Iyabo Obasanjo writes father, says: ‘Dear Daddy, you don’t own Nigeria

In what is turning out to be a season of open letters, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Iyabo, has ruled out further communication with her father till death, describing him as a liar, manipulator, two-faced hypocrite determined to foist on President Goodluck Jonathan what no one would contemplate with him as president.

Senator Iyabo Obasanjo in a letter to her father accused him of having an egoistic craving for power and living a life where only men of low esteem and intellect thrive.

In the 11-page letter dated December 16, 2013 exclusively obtained by Vanguard, Iyabo accused her father of orchestrating a third term for himself as president, cruelty to family members, abandonment of children and grandchildren, and also, a legendary reputation of maltreatment of women.

Iyabo who forswore further political engagements in Nigeria denied any political motive for her missive, and described Nigeria as a country where her father and his ilk have helped to create a situation where smart, capable people bend down to imbeciles to survive. She particularly noted her experience as chairman of the Senate Committee on Health when she led the committee on a retreat appropriated for in the budget only for her to be prosecuted for it.

Iyabo, first child of the former president, started the letter titled, Open Letter to my Father with a 4th century Chinese proverb by Mencius which states: “The great man is he who does not lose his child’s heart.”

Her letter:

“It brings me no joy to have to write this but since you started this trend of open letters I thought I would follow suit since you don’t listen to anyone anyway. The only way to reach you may be to make the public aware of some things. As a child well brought up by my long-suffering mother in Yoruba tradition, I have been reluctant to tell the truth about you but as it seems you still continue to delude yourself about the kind of person you are and I think for posterity’s sake it is time to set the records straight.
