greenermodels:Nigerians don’t have a bad reputation in Germany, especially among those who migrated legally. In fact, Nigerians have a good reputation. I can’t speak for the “Aduros” (those who came through asylum). What’s happening here is the fact that many Nigerians are applying for student visas, and Germany usually has a quota for visas to be issued within a specific period. For instance, Germany has a quota of no more than 1000 marriage reunion visas to be issued worldwide in a month, and this information is publicly stated. I’m sure there is a similar quota system for student visas as well. What this means is that the visas would be rationed. Germany has a weird legal immigration control system that makes legal migration quite challenging and frustrating, but it appears to reward illegal immigration, making it relatively easy. This is a sad reality. |

pseudonomer:A lot of developed countries seem to be rewarding illegal migration. In the US it's very hard to get a green card after studies, the whole process is a lottery but millions are crossing the border illegally and in the long run a lot of those illegals end up with green cards. |

mosesronnal:This is totally wrong! if you have Deutschland Stipendium, You don't need any block account or sponsorship. The letter of scholarship is your means of sustainance. |

HighPriest0: You my dear are the one who is totally wrong! Dstip only caters for 3600 euros of your expenses for a year so you need a letter of sponsorship or a blocked account to cater for the remaining 7680 euros or so. Check your facts before pointing fingers please. Dstip is not Daad!! |

Good evening everyone and happy Sunday.... please help me on this some one want to send me invitation letter for business inquirement.. I work in a company with salary of 166k please good people of narialand please how should I go about this... |
| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by mosesronnal(m): 9:23pm On Oct 08, 2023 |
HighPriest0:No it’s not. You might have mistaken Deutschland Stipendium for DAAD!!! First of all, the Deutschland Stipendium scholarship is just a premium qualification you can get by chance to book for an appointment under Category A and it costs just €300 per month and lasts for 2 semesters (12 months) which is equivalent to €3.600 a year and it’s not even up to the €11.280 needed for a blocked account. So how would €300 sustain you for a month, and €3.600 for a whole year? It’s either you block the remaining amount, or rather get a fully blocked account to avoid any negative chances at the embassy or get a Sponsorship Letter to support your scholarship. |

greenermodels:I can help you run Ghana residency permit to boycott this appointment phase but you must book before August 16th or after October, else you won't find a suitable date. If you're more serious, reach my mail. |

How does an illegal migrant end up with a green card? tensazangetsu20: |
| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by tensazangetsu20(m): 1:00am On Oct 09, 2023 |
GodfreyOsondu:There was a time Barack Obama gave illegal migrants green cards. People were still playing h1b lotteries during that period and weren't getting picked or selected and had to go back to their countries. |

greenermodels:As you can read, getting a visa interview is not feasible. Why should students spend almost their entire study duration (two years) waiting for a visa interview? The argument was logical during COVID-19, but not anymore. Like person go do online classes within that period whereas his/her contemporaries don almost finish their programs elsewhere. ![]() No na! It is unheard. Simply make it impossible to be granted the visa like Poland and Czech Republic do. Thankfully, universities in those countries warn African students to avoid them since the visa issuance process is tough. People should let go of Germany. It is not realistic. Why e be say our people no dey like hear word?! Yes, French is a useless language to learn because the majority of francophone countries are horribly poor. To japa to a country with feasible economic opportunities via study route, few of which are in Africa, the best language to learn is Spanish. For business, as Anglophones, the best language is Chinese. Canada's Express Entry makes it look like French is useful, but seeing the current scores in the latest draw, it would require an elite profile to attain the minimum score just to qualify for ITA (Invitation to Apply). Most people who opt for study visa don't have the kind of profile Express Entry requires. cc: alakara |

User321:The facts on ground says it is not feasible. How is that killing hope? I recall there was a time when some folks wanted to protest at the German embassy and actually protested on Twitter. Did it change anything? The Nairalander UPDATED2020 was at the forefront of it. Before, it was six months, then one year. Now, almost two years, and you accuse me of dashing people's hopes?! The fact is clear: if one does not have a first class as at 2020 or is able to secure a scholarship, the person should look elsewhere. Also, people should stop learning a hard language such as German when the opportunities to japa to where it is spoken is tough. This morning, I read that Rwandans who could speak Chinese earn at least $500 a month working as translators in the country. Even if they don't travel to China, the economic opportunities which learning Chinese brings are worth it. How many German companies dey active for Nigeria? In your daily lives, how many Germans you don see? How many German companies dey invest in Nigeria? https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/people/article/3237105/mandarin-learning-takes-rwanda-boost-job-prospects-its-best-commercial-language |

greenermodels:I recall it, too. One prominent lass who resides in the country with a moniker starting with the letter J said some Nigerians were either disregarding rules in the country, breaking them and trying to scam the system. She stated if they didn't behave, the immigration rules would be tightened, and here we are today. But I am accused of dashing people's hopes?! |

| Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Luisema4luv(m): 8:52am On Oct 09, 2023 |
HighPriest0:Deutschlandstipendium most times will not cover your full block amount (about 300 euros per month) so you will still need to fund your block account with the remaining equivalent or use SL |

Gerrard59:I am surprised it takes 18 months to get a visa. That is nonsense. A lot of master degrees are done within 18 months. They should just close the embassy down and stop giving people false hope. Germany doesn't even have as much visa applications as the UK and visa issuance in the uk doesn't take time for studies. |

It is not compulsory for every school. There is an option to submit a letter of proof of english proficiency from your university. Just check if the school you are interested in allows that adeniranfam: |
