However, what hinders the development of the FCT is government ego and investments by corrupt politicians. The FCT has not experienced neutral growth yet. Additionally, remember that just like every other state in the federation, such as Abia with Umuahia, FCT is to Abuja. This alone should justify its recognition as a state. When you're told that the head of the territory in a state called FCT is Abuja, and you expect it to reach its full potential like other states, it's a bit unrealistic. Also, you might not be aware that you can't attain the highest position in your career while working in the FCT. There are numerous limitations that need to be addressed.
