Let me say this real quick, i have never seen it in any book Quran or hadith where GOD said kill the unbelievers, rather protect yourself against them if and only if they attack. About living in peace together, when MUHAMMAD(SAW) was alive, in medina he lived with the jews and other tribes peacefully, at that even when he was in mecca he sent some of his followers to the christain kingdom of Abysinna to seek asylum against the idolters of mecca who wanted killing them, and they lived peacefully with the christians.
