Lol I remember some bastards on here telling us how the removal of subsidy was the best decision for this country.
How we needed subsidy money to be rechanneled into other sectors.
How Nigeria will suddenly start booming and the fuel price affordability wouldn't be a problem.

...
...
...
Less than 3months ....subsidy is back grin
Fuel price has risen and will remain there, subsidy or no subsidy.
The rechanneling....pfff....oga at the top just rechanneled 3/4 months subsidy money into private aza and BOOM subsidy is back. grin

When you realize you're your own Nigeria...you will not jubilate at the short gifts this country has to offer. Last time it was a kg of gas was cheaper than breadloaf, today it's equal to disel prices.
Taking, waiting and hoping on Nigeria is like having unprotected sex with an ovulating woman and praying she does not get pregnant.

Why remove it in the first place since we went back to status quo the indices are same as before if buhari had remove it at then the difference will be 300 naira it almost same price difference the FG is paying as subsidy right now, with terrible inflation and increased exchanges rate added I don’t just get APC

You are obviously living in lala land if you cannot see policies or initiatives. It's one thing to say the effect is not showing its quite another to say there are none. The former is excusable the latter is a yaba left diagnosis.
If Tinubu and his team eventually come up with an economic plan you will understand what I mean. For now, all men and women of goodwill will continue to urge him to do so to revive our ailing economy.

I totally agree with you

wirinet:
We are back to square one - the same situation before subsidy removal and floating of the naira, only now that inflation jumped over 50% with the first 2 months of this administration. So it's business as usual for subsidy and forex thieves.

Take the word of any Apc supporter with a pinch of salt.
I like as the Government keeps showing that they are unprincipled humans.
One minute they will shout how removal of subsidy is good, blah, blah , blah, naira will fall , B.A.T is sound.
The next minute , the same mindless bots will still shout how subsidy is the best thing, give the government time, blah, blah, blah...

Even if it was proven beyond doubt that Tinubu is a drug lord (which is a worldwide fact), these bots will still come here and find one narrative to push.
Truth is truth. If you like sell your soul for peanuts, doesn't change what truth is

Tinubu was and is still the worst candidate on the ballot.
Economically daft, incredibly corrupt and a bloated sense of self importance.
Baba just dey mess up from one place to another.

Removed subsidy as opening speech only to backtrack after 5 months.
Very clueless human

Please don't you have conscience? We can't breathe, this government's is shocking us! This isn't about political affiliations or tribalism, Nigeria can't breathe. See no matter the tribalism or money you were paid to defend this choking government just know that one day we all will die and leave all these wealths here. Don't you have conscience? I feel like commiting suicide sometimes. I have been Searching for good job for 4 years and 5 months after NYSC. All the jobs I got before were just underpaying.
You are talking to a bot.
Like a robot.
They are programmed to say all these things.
Just as a computer cannot change its source code and become sentient, so also, an APC supporter cannot change anything from the script given to them on their WhatsApp group.
These ones are not alive anymore. They just don't know it

Several months into his presidency, President Tinubu is yet to roll out his policies, initiatives and incentive packages to revitalize the economy as well as encourage existing local investors as well as attract new investors, which will boost GDP, employment and generate taxes.

What happened to that beautifully-packaged Renewed Hope manifesto?
So you're taken note of this?
This is a serious question begging for answer. Maybe by year's ending we will get there. We are all waiting and watching the drama.

Tinubu is not only morally depraved, corrupt and incompetent, man is obviously without tact.

A supposed first class graduate (pants on fire), Deloitte accountant and builder of Lagos (lori ilo and Pinocchio combined) should not have to be doing internship in Aso Rock.

Nigeria keep having it bad, but it appears we have just progressed to worse. Election has consequences.

The best palliative is subsidy... It has a trickle effect on the economy , instead of, all this conditional cash and dashing money up and down, that will end up in the private pocket of corrupt officials.

Sharing money doesn't work in Nigeria because we lack adequate data as a society.

The painful part is, after removing the subsidy we are still borrowing, while the citizens are suffering more than ever before
Sadly your government lacks the funds for the subsidies. It is broke. Subsidies are meant to support productivity to an extent that they can be removed in the long run.

Neither Lawan nor Buhari told Tinubu not to have a plan to manage the consequences of sudden removal of petrol subsidy before doing so right there at inaugural speech.
