Most schools will give you that option of a submitting a letter from your school stating you were taught in English, u just actually need to read their requirements well or chat with their admins to enquire. Your 2/10 stat is very wrong sir

I'm using my EPL as well. Ain't nobody got time to write an English test to prove I indeed can understand and speak english language . About 7 schools I'm applying to that's what I'm using

Good Day All,

Please can someone in UK sponsor my German Education. What I mean is that can I get a sponsorship letter from my sister who is in the UK?

Also, with the sponsorship letter, do I need to still block my account?

Firstly, only someone resident in Germany can give you an SL.

Secondly, SL is an alternative to block account, which means you don't need a block account it can last up to 5 years

Guys, good evening.

My sponsor just returned my call yesterday and gave me the "Go-Ahead" guarantee that I should proceed with my plans for a German visa application via MA/MSc route.

My passport capturing is on Monday at Festac and I'll get my Academic Transcripts shortly afterwards (and have it notarized/validated).

My Language Skill Tests will follow early January (I plan for 2024/25 session).

Please, what next should I have lined up after these processes?

I very much appreciate all support and valuable information.

Thanks

Nah, sadly bro it's now officially more than 18 months of waiting. Am actually beginning to think this isn't worth it any longer, imagine just locking away more than 11,000 euro for more than a year, and no matter how much someone plans what's the point when they can just change the system tomorrow and all you planning is wasted. Not to even talk on the money one has wasted on several application/semester fees.

Trust me I feel the same way bro. But we are almost there. C'mmon don't give up now. Just a few more lapse left.
There was no way of knowing in hindsight that things would have turned out this bad. Buy we shouldn't just rest on our oars. Hopefully this week motherluck smiles on us. Just keep up the hope bro. Its easy to fall into depression at this point, but don't allow any room for that. You need a sound mind for your interview. For now just distract yourself with some fleeting ventures. Keep up hope.
You can try to contact them again this week and request to know your number on the queue. Their response might not do much, but it might keep yoi hopeful a bit

I don't think so, u can also send a notice to the embassy to inform and explain the circumstances so as to avoid a case of misrepresentation.

Hi Tyboss, seeing your story, I'm getting discouraged about applying for schools in Germany.
Why is your visa taking 18 months? Can't you apply for a refund of your block account?

Hi all,

When you want to pay for block account: €11,200, will the commercial bank pay it for you at official rate?

Hi all, please, can you share knowledge about this?

Summer semester should start in March/April if I am correct. It takes over 12 weeks to get the approval mail now from what I have seen around here.

Moving your studies to March would be a wise decision.

You still need to have a conversation with your school visa team for the best advice on what to do. I don't think you should have any issues.

Don't be discouraged, although it is indeed frustrating, my brother @intercontineta has encouraged me and I have decided to wait a little while. We never know things might get better. As regarding refunds on the blocked account, I can actually request for a refund from the platform I used (EXPATRIO), but it will require me cancelling my visa appointment from the embassy and the embassy issuing me a letter as proof before I can request for a refund.

Thank you for your response. I won’t be discouraged anymore. But have you inquired if they’ve given visas to other students that applied after you?

Also, the Expatrio platform you used, did you pay with only official rate or you had to use black market rate to pay your €11,200?

For the first question, none that I am aware of, the last I heard of was 4th of APRIL 2022. Secondly, I used black market rate

Personally, I will not advise you to go to Teesside. The Uni isn’t that rated plus management isn’t that great. I applied there and even paid fees but had to request for a refund.

1. Reference relating to what? I did not get any ‘academic’ reference while applying to Teesside. I only used the one from my work place.

2. There are plenty jobs available. Truth is you’d need your NI and sometimes the DBS before you get a job. This may or may not take time.

3. I went for an MBA at Ulster University. It’s okay no exam essays and test.

My advice, if you have a career you are looking into. Do a masters in that line. I have heard cases of boys that went to do an advanced computer science MSc all in the name they want to japa without having the prerequisite ; good knowledge of coding.

one major issue we have as a nation is that we don’t have career counselors, this will help a lot so we no go dey waste time doing trial and error with our life.

Good day bro

I just completed my application to Ulster. Would like to know if they issue CAS after the initial 5500 deposit, or would one make another payment before CAS is issued.

Hello my people!
Please I need advice on applying for appointment.
I want to apply for bachelor's program with some schools next year. Which date can I choose as my start date while booking so I could have a better chance instead of waiting one year. Should I choose this year October or next year October. I need advice please. 🙏🙏🙏 Also which embassy is better. Abuja or Lagos?

The start date doesn't determine anything. As long as your category B, you'll wait over 1 year. You'll have to use the Lagos embassy. You can't really choose

I suggest going on the embassy's site and getting more information. The German waka is not the same as with the US.

Current wait time for an interview date from the embassy (for Category B applicants) is at 18 months

After the initial deposit they will issue you a Pre-CAS then you do an interview. When you pass, you’d then be issued a CAS which you’d use for your visa.

Side note: Ulster no be great school ooh, just clearing you.

More side note: If it’s not Northern Ireland Campus. Don’t come to ulster cos your result is determined in Belfast meaning if you can fail a course you’ve passed before.
