As a patriotic Nigerian, I would advise the Federal Government to directly intervene in the FX and the fuel subsidy removal crisis immediately.

There is a very strong cabal behind both weaknesses of both policies and it will ignite anarchy in the short run.

Both policies have negatively affected the fabric of household and the N75K palliative may not be sufficient as the brewing anger in the land may explode soon.

Irrespective of tribe and political leanings, the populace feel the direct impact of both policie. Nigeria is import dependent and also a large domestic consumer of PMS.

I will advise PBAT to suspend the FX unification policy as it has obviously not been effective and re-invest proceeds from the subsidy removal strategically in the export of crude-oil and its derivatives.

The demand for Nigerian crude-oil derivatives is so huge that a glut in our production capacity affects the global price of crude oil

The price of crude oil and its derivatives continues to spike northwards based on the Ukrainian war & also the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

Dangote refinery should ensure the feedstock from NNPCL is purely from our oil wells to give the country its full benefit of the oil proceed whilst earning good FX in the short term.

Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, kuwait, UAE etc have grown thier countries revenues from this mono-product which has transformed them to super rich nations.

To Aliko Dangote, ignore all the negative noise about your relationship with the embattled CBN governor, Dangote has been positioned through his refinery to assist his homeland patriotically with his refinery.

In the short term, the refinery has been positioned to earn good forex especially to Non-OPEC Members that solely relied on Russian Crude derivatives like gas, DPK, Jet A1, petro-chemicals etc.

The Dangote refinery alone can be a game changer in the short run to stabilise our FX earnings.

The person that deserves all the blame is Jonathan. If he had just honoured his pledge to do one term, there is no way these group of sociopaths that derive pleasure in seeing Nigerians suffer(APC) would have gained power.
Then, don't forget to blame Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso. PDP would have defeated APC by millions of votes if selfishness was put aside. I intentionally left Wike out because his demands were simple

the way buhari butchered niherias economy, there is nothing no one could have done to savage it immediately, even though I doubt obi or atiku will use headless fire brigade approach like tinubu did.

Sadly this guys are not in any way cutting cost of governance or their flamboyant and childish typical Nigerian politicians lifestyle. Even a senseless person learn to adjust his meal, his acomodación and overall life to fit his present situation .

But Nigerian politicians ? No!! Never there are clueless or in self denial until every thing falls so bad.

That is assuming the elections are free and fair. You are forgetting that Atiku/Obi by many accounts won the 2019 elections.

If coward Jonathan had known that he would cave to APC and allow an INEC chairman he appointed to work for APC, he should have never ran for reelection.

Let's look at it critically are we saying that what is happening now is a function of bad leadership could they be a chance that the government did they best they can but factors beyond their control is causing .Is it not also possible that even with another government things could still be the same .I want us to critically weigh ....is what is happening now a case of government ineptitude or could they be other factors we are not seeing or evaluating I think economy egg heads in the house can shed more light on this .

Pure ineptitude.
Removing subsidy on your first day without any framework was a very stupid decision.
Floating the naira without reducing tax and providing g incentives was another stupid move.
Refusing to maintain your integrity on not just how he won the election, but also his credentials signifies only one thing to investors - Country is not trustworthy.
Giving 25k palliatives to bogus poor people. That same money can revitalise a Refinery, even if its modular.

B.A.A.T is just a wrong choice. Plain and simple.
Apart from abuse and tribal bigotry , even his supporters cannot pinpoint his political plan.
Obi had a clear plan to see - Consumption to Production.
And that is still the way to go. But this plan requires selfless people which Tinubu is definitely not

It's a function of Tinubu's bad and hasty economic policies.

1. He should not remove subsidy without a working refinery

2. He should not float naira.
