It's a car for sale so I don't drive it much, but the few times I drove it, I found it to drive fine. Yes it's turbo engine but it's quite mild on fuel and parts are not expensive. It's similar to a rav4

Cars from those years of 2014 above, I'm not sure there's many without turbo anymore.

It's mostly 4cyl engines with different levels of turbo all across most brands

Yeah. It has even gotten worse. They're now in all brands.

Hi, good evening everyone. I would like to share that I recently replaced a part in my car, and after doing so, the error code disappeared and I noticed a significant decrease in fuel consumption. However, after a week, the error codes P0441 and P0455 appeared again, and I noticed that my car is now consuming more fuel. I went back to the electrician, who suggested using a fuel treatment. I am uncertain if this is the correct solution, as I am starting to doubt his advice. I would appreciate any possible solutions or recommendations to address this issue. The car in question is a 2007 Toyota Corolla.

Is it possible the device has failed again?

5L to a km. Not so good, not so bad.

Let me take the first swing.

Vehicle make/model: Toyota Prius 2009 hybrid

Tank size : 45L

Reserve light indicator: 11L

Amount of fuel to be used 34L

Engine size 1.5L @110Hp

I will be doing city driving only in Lagos .

Target is about 600km on 34L.

Today I concluded a trip I started on Sunday.

Average distance covered was 500miles (800km)

Highway drive 90percent of the time.

Petrol used 40L.

This represents 47miles per gallon

Or

20KM per Litre.

Next target on same vehicle is 600miles (965km)

So I beat this record.

I covered a distance of 540miles ( 869km) 93per highway driving.

Filled up with 40L on the dot .

This represents 21.7 KM/L

Or

51.1miles per gallon .

Hoping to get to the 1000km mark on 40L next.

This represents

So tank filled to the top with picture attached and first trip of 152 miles starts. Then coming back few days time and I will fill up immediately I'm back to calculate my usage. Picture of engine type also posted. Mind you it's a Lexus IS250.

Re: Mpg Challenge Nigeria by chloedogie(m): 6:23pm On Oct 27, 2023
Well, my trip was to be 3hrs, 21mins, I ended up doing it in about 4hrs 10mins all thanks to Friday traffic. Everywhere just dey slow. Quarter tank gone. Return trip will be at a time of the day with lesser traffic.

Let's see what my mpg will be after I refill.

So I did the return trip for 2hrs 25 mins. Came back pretty late so I went to refill my tank on my way back from work today. Pictures below show mileage before I filled up and how many litres I used to fill up.

So I did a total of 362 miles and I filled up with 45.52 litres.

Which means I burnt 12.56 litres for every 100 miles which is like saying I burnt 12.56 for every 161 kilometers

I now use CNG on most of my daily drivers .

This Corolla gets 235km on 15.5 SCM on highway driving . 1 SCM is ₦200 in Lagos ₦230 in Ibadan, ₦200 in Benin .

For clarity I do 235km on ₦3100
