This is one of the biggest problems Nigerians have. They always look at the messenger,instead of looking at the message.

I don't care for Amaechi, and I have never liked him, but he is telling the truth. Our adaptability to bad situations has become our curse. Under no Nirmal circumstances should anyone be OK with what is going on in Nigeria. The economic situation of the average Nigerian is appalling.

At least we are better than, or the same bad situation is happening is bigger countries. This has become our mantra. Instead of comparing the great things the bigger nations have over us and improve on it. Politicians send their kids abroad to school. They get medical treatment abroad. They save their money in US dollars or British pounds. And you all expect that they mean well for Nigerians. No way.

This sad situation will continue until the people are ready for a better life.

I have always said, leaders are a reflection of the people they lead. Our corrupt leaders are a reflection of the average Nigerian.

I have lived in the US for over 10 years and became a US citizen some years back. And I have seen 1st hand how the rights of citizens are supposed to be protected. How government is supposed to make sure citizens are provided with the basic amenities expected to live a decent life.

This last election really show who we are,many young people are more tribal bigot than the elders and politicians.We are just pretending to love ourselves,the truth is that we have no love for each other.Our politicians are using us to achieve their aims, while we argue and defend them with empty stomach.The best way not to be affected too much in this country is not to depend on the government, this is the area Igbos are doing better.May God Almighty help us to do the right thing because it effects is for all.

Once they are longer in seat of power, they play saint card and start blaming the current government for everything even for the ones caused by them.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi are not left behind. They all tried to use smart and saint cards just to secure votes but what did they do when they were in government?

Reno Omokri who's constituting nuisance on X platform was also in government (Former aide to ex president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan) but started playing saint immediately he left the seat of power.

Today, Muhammad Buhari may not play saint but he has become saint to some people and that's the same way President Bola Tinubu will become saint ones he handover power to another government.

Sincerely speaking, politicians know how to play and use us for their own advantages. Brothers and sisters, no politician worths fighting or dying for. Stop hating your countrymen because of these politicians. They may fight themselves publicly just to play us but they are best friends secretly.

You may be right to an extent but my only correction is that you ought to have first hand information or at least have a good knowledge of your subject matter before writing. I live in Anambra now, before Obi came and after he left. Your narrative does not match him and clearly you neither knew him not experienced his leadership, just hearsay. So one who experienced it is telling you that Obi may not be a saint but hispolitical interests are genuine and ideal. What we have in Anambra now is only but a shadow of what he left behind. His predecessors did not uphold his legacies we'll if they did we would have gone very far. Even at that more than 85% of what Anambra could boost with today were obi work. As at today he is the only politician I can risk my trust for.

Don't make a mistake. I am not an APC supporter, neither did I vote for Tinubu. Whatever Tinubu does or didn't do, posterity will judge him, so relax. But if you think he is being nepotistic, there are some who would counter you with facts!

I created a thread here on Nairaland which made front page and showed EFCC's headship from 2003 till date (ALL NORTHERNERS FOR 20 YEARS!) and nobody complained about it for good 20 years and no fingers were pointed until a Yoruba became the head. Same thing with FCT ministerial appointment, this is the first time in about 30 years, a Southerner (Ikwerre, an Igbo subtribe) became the minister of FCT, all the while it was only northerners.

Some of you may think you're fighting for fairness, but deep down, it's just dislike for Yorubas.

I can also say same for Tinubu. I was born and grew up in Lagos. I knew what Lagos was before Tinubu and I know what Lagos is after Tinubu. That man did miracles and wonders!

And was GEJ's campaign manager for the SE, then later became Atiku's vice presidential candidate.. The PDP ticket Atiku and Obi ran had delegates selling their votes for thousands of dollars. Datti Baba Ahmed was a presidential candidate of pdp in the 2018 election.
