Thank you for your response. I won’t be discouraged anymore. But have you inquired if they’ve given visas to other students that applied after you?

Also, the Expatrio platform you used, did you pay with only official rate or you had to use black market rate to pay your €11,200?

Actually don’t know why people fund there block account before they get their appointment date. The time from getting date and the interview date is always enough to do that and also prepare for the interview. My advise is just to put the money in dollars or usdt and not naira so the money no go lose value.

More side note: If it’s not Northern Ireland Campus. Don’t come to ulster cos your result is determined in Belfast meaning if you can fail a course you’ve passed before.
Thanks so much bro

I think I'll just submit another application to Northern Ireland. If you'd indulge me, what questions should one expect during the interview?

Better, they would ask you how you intend to fund your Masters, accommodation plan, if you’d going back to your home country, the modules you are going to take, why did you choose the campus, address of the University, ranking of the University on different ranking platforms. What do you stand to benefit from the Masters.

Dear Nigerian Students,
This is the ample opportunity to get the attention of the German Councillor concerning the hitches that surrounds German student visa to we Nigerians especially on interview appointment.
Let us use this energy, go to X, tag him, tag BAT, tag Nigerian Federal Government, Tag German Embassy Lagos and Abuja, tag other important parastatals that can influence and reverse this difficulties we face.
Let's do it today so that the trend will be huge, that way, we may get their attention and fall back to track.
Gracias

I understand the frustration and feelings of undue delays many of us are facing as regards pursuit of quality and affordable education in Germany.

Again, let us be reminded that Germany provides an opportunity and cannot accommodate the number of applications received. While this is a setback, unfortunately, we cannot tell them what and how to do. The law supports our applications and guarantees a right to enjoy this privilege if all conditions are met and convincing, one of the options been taken by Germany is delay tactics, and high-performers' preferences (and scholars), otherwise, we may be left with lottery options.
Nigerians are just 1 of many other countries with high applications facing similar challenges.

Be clothed in patience and continue to prepare yourself for the future here or there.

Best wishes.

We can be hopeful. Would have been much better if the question touched education.

Has anyone experienced the embassy not sending their passport back on time?

Sent my documents over almost 2 weeks ago and my travel date is in 2 days and I haven't heard anything from them. When I track DHL it still says shipment information received.

nope.
You may get your visa by winter 2025.
My advice: make use of other routes.

Greetings everyone. Just a heads-up: there are new changes to the immigration law that came into effect yesterday, and there are many more that will go into effect in 2024. I know the situation at the Embassy is not desirable; however, this might also help your planning during and after your studies when you finally get in. Also, it is possible to move from your study to full-time work, most notably in IT, if you already have a degree in Nigeria. There are many courses on Udemy and other platforms which can be helpful.

Most importantly, if you are coming in for an MSc course, make use of the delay at the Embassy to be proficient in skills that are related to your interest and don't forget the language as well. Don't be surprised that you might get a full-time job before you graduate if you have the necessary skills and requirements. I wish you all the best in this journey, even though it is cumbersome. Shalom
