My Take On Life In The UK by Nanorest: 1:19pm On Oct 29, 2023 |
I don't know how people prefer the life here over the one in Nigeria. I think it's just a defence on the syndrome using something like security, good life and others but I am not part of them. My goal is to make money here and establish myself in Nigeria. I prefer an insecure Nigeria to a secure UK provided there is money. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Our main motive here is to make money not that we enjoy life here. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Nanorest: You should have preferred the insecure Nigeria and make your money there. Why go to a place you hate but only like to make money from? Most of you guys don't even understand how life and nature truly work. You can't be at peace or unison with what/where you hate intrinsically and expect it to favor/bless you. You'll continue to run around in circles to no end... Hyper hypocrites. 36 Likes |

Nanorest: My brother is in Ireland and has vowed never to come back to Nigeria , he says his dream to move all his family ( extended ) down to Ireland or the UK as a whole so that he'll know he doesn't have any relatives in Nigeria , this is someone who went in 2020 immediately they lifted travelling ban after COVID. Why do you think he has this mindset and you don't , I'll tell you why , people like you hate rules and prefer to circumvent the law , you're loud and oppressive and don't have the free hand to do that. The UK or any first world country is easily better to stay than Nigeria , take this from me. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians with zero common sense. He left Nigeria because of the opportunity to make money in UK. He prefers living in Nigeria to UK but since he is looking for a better opportunity in making money, UK to him is better. People telling him if you like Nigeria why don't you make money in Nigeria, you people don't have sense. You that doesn't like your job, why are you still working there? You guys should be logical, one can go and hustle in an environment they don't like, simply because you are hustling in a particular environment, that doesn't mean you should like it. Nigerians always regurgitating same words "if you don't like it there, come back blah blah blah" Can't you have other meaningful reply by repeating same words, get a brain for yourself 17 Likes 5 Shares |

If you're doing fine in Nigeria, gainfully employed and can eat three square meals a day, you have no business going to the UK.. keep your millions and invest, become an employer of labor instead of going to kiss White people's feets abroad. The UK- born Nigerians who are citizens aren't finding things funny talk more of you trying to escape your country. Think am well before you Japa make you no go end up in regrets where you have no family or relatives to cry to. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Nanorest: I have noticed this with black Africans who relocated abroad as adults rather than teens. They wish for things from home in their new locations, forgetting that the way things were/are done at home is the VERY REASON why they fled home. I recall meeting a Ugandan who came into Japan recently, and the following conversation ensued: Me: Do you plan to to go back? Him: Pointing at the road in front of us and retorted, "Am I supposed to leave this road to a place where there are no roads?" Two weeks later, we met again following conversation ensued: Him: I plan to return to Uganda after working for a while in Japan. Me: But you mentioned not planning to return after seeing the quality of the roads here. What happened? Him: Japan has too many rules and the society is too strict. Me: But those rules are why Japan is what it is today. Maybe if Uganda had the same, the country would be better off than what it is today. Him: It does not matter. When one has money, Africa is a sweet place to live. Me: Even with the poor quality of roads? Him: It does not matter. Maybe he would come across this thread of mine of being rich while residing in Nigeria: https://www.nairaland.com/7496716/what-exactly-does-one-enjoy His views are the same as my circle, Japan is a means to an end, not the end. Here, one can understand that the country is homogenous, entirely different language and culture, too far from Africa and not many immigrants of the same origin. Those in the UK, US and Canada are planning to live there for life. So, I am quite surprised the UK is not worth enjoyable for you. Nonetheless, I understand your point, as "enjoyment" is subjective. Regarding enjoying in the abroad, if we are to base it on racial structure, how come many black Africans who were born and bred in the diaspora don't move enmass to Africa, which is home to the black race? You mentioned money aka economics as the major reason immigrants live where they are, that is true everywhere. However, how come many black Africans don't eventually relocate home after making the money they plan/wish to make? 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Nanorest: Apart from people who look like you, could you please explain how you will be treated as a first class citizen in Nigeria? I am curious here, no harm intended. Before relocating to the UK, were you treated as a first class citizen? If yes, how please? 5 Likes |
Re: My Take On Life In The UK by Gerrard59(m): 5:35am On Oct 30, 2023 |
emmaodet: Hahahahahahhahahaa. To be fair to him, it does not really mean that way. Some people could have so much money, but they don't just feel at home in the diaspora. He is even in the UK, yet feels like that. What about those in Estonia, China, Korea, Germany etc.,? I can understand him. One of my guys who I can see the potential of making money has stated he would return to Nigeria once he achieves his monetary aim. He lives a good life presently, but does not feel here is home. It is a means to an end, not the end. 5 Likes |
