Laying of asphalt on Awba-Ofemmili Axis of Amansea-Awba-Ofemmili Road by Anambra state government, The 26 kilometer road box culverts and wing walls was a virgin land from part of Ebenebe to Awba-Ofemmili before the Governor Soludo administration came on board last year and awarded contract for the construction of the road.

Immediately I saw the land I said this is perfect for rice farming

The government needs to help this communities do the following

1) construction of rice pits ( special rice fields built for rice farming)

2) build dam and reservoir..
So that they can farm rice year round 3 times a year

3) got to IITA Ibadan get a seedling perfect for this location improve it and make it commercially available

5000 hectares of rice fields if done right can yield 1.8 million bags of rice yearly

Anambra would be self sufficient in rice
The farmers would be richer and the state can generate 4 billion revenue yearly tax from this if well implemented

3 is yet to be flag off not to talk about actual work. Even 1&2 am not sure that road will be ready in four years

Hasn't it been more than 63 years since the British left?
Why are we still anglicizing names of our towns and villages?
Since childhood, I've know this town to be OBA-OFEMMILI.
Now it has been anglicized to "AWBA"? SMH cry
