Soludo Inspects 26km Ufuma-Awa-Okpeze-Ndiukwenu-Amansea Road by SReporters: 8:25pm On Feb 21, 2023
Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, has stated that his administration has a deadline.

He went on to say that he dislikes excuses because there are always a dozen of them in every failure.

He said this while inspecting the 26-kilometer Ufuma-Awa-Okpeze-Ndiukwenu-Amansea Road, which is being overseen by Engr. Driekus Saayman of Stefanutti Stocks Hapel Ltd.

Soludo stated that he drove from Amansea to Ufuma to inspect the road, saying that it was supposed to be completed by December of last year according to the contract timeline.

The Governor also emphasized that he has announced the work timeline to the people and does not like making excuses when a deadline is missed.

"While the people are pleased with the pace of the work which is already at 60% completion, I'm not happy that the work hasn't been completed up till this time.

"If a job is completed, we know that it is executed and we focus on a new project. "This is the direction our administration is taking," Soludo stated.

According to the Governor, before any Contractor is considered for a new job, they must have completed up to 90% of their initial job.

The Governor charged them to vote for all APGA candidates in the upcoming election and to be ready for the upcoming National Census Exercise, which will begin after the elections.

Earlier, Hon. Ogochukwu Ekwueme, TC Chairman Orumba North, welcomed the Governor and recalled how Soludo visited Orumba on September 17, 2022, promising to fix the road, and today marks exactly five months. He said that the road construction is 60% complete, and that driving to Awka now takes him 30 minutes rather than the long hours it used to.

Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Governor Soludo's Chief of Staff, emphasized that the only way the Orumba people can repay the Governor for the great work he has done is to vote for all APGA candidates from the Senate to the State House of Assembly.

Lady Ify Obinabo, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, stated that the Governor says and does what he says. She thanked the Governor for his efforts on behalf of the people of Orumba North and South.

APGA Candidate, Orumba North & South Federal Constituency, Sir Eric Kanayo Eze,
Deputy Majority Leader and APGA Candidate Orumba North Constituency in Anambra House of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Aforka and APGA Candidate, Anambra South Senatorial District, Chris Azubogu welcomed the Governor to Orumba. They thanked Soludo for making their campaign easy for them because they have so much to talk about what APGA has done for the people.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, Accountant-General Anambra State, Sir Chudi Okoli, Executive Secretary, State-Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee, Dr. Nwankwo Ikwueto, APGA Orumba Ward Chairman, APGA Orumba Party Executives, Traditional Rulers amongst others attended the event.

It's a gradual process.... The Governor is building roads in phases.... The first phase are strategic roads with economic benefits

Has he done pipe borne water in every building already? Or employed teachers for every child to be in free primary, vocational and secondary schools?

How wise is it to do roads without educating everyone

Maybe this is why Peter Obi’s eight years of Panama looting of Anambrarians was such a huge scam that has led to UGM recruiting idle minds there.

SATANICALLY:
In a 2018 interview, Peter Obi said he invested $20 million in International Breweries on behalf of Anambra state as a governor.

Obi’s claim was in response to questions on economic development, Anambra politics and his presidential ambition.

“… Anambra state is the single-highest shareholder in that facility. I invested in it, over $20 million,” Obi had said.

“It is worth almost $100 [million] today. That’s what government should do.”

TheCable had previously fact-checked some of the claims.

Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, also debunked a recent statement ascribed to him regarding the investment.

International Breweries (IB) Plc is a subsidiary of the world’s largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) — a multinational drink and brewing giant based in Leuven, Belgium.

In its 2021 audited financial statement, the company said it holds 43 percent economic interest in International Breweries Plc, a publicly listed company in Nigeria.

According to a report by The Nation, AB InBev merged its Nigerian operations under a single corporate entity in 2017. It had three indirect Nigerian subsidiaries — International Breweries Plc, Intafact Beverages Limited and Pabod Breweries Limited. SABMiller Nigeria Holdings BV — another subsidiary of AB InBev — was also a major stakeholder in Intafact and Pabod.

ANAMBRA’S INVESTMENT

In a statement made available to TheCable on Tuesday, Ifeatu Onejeme, Anambra’s commissioner of finance, confirmed that Peter Obi’s administration invested the sum of N1,955,535,247.00 (an equivalent of approximately $12,616,356.43 at the then average CBN exchange rate of N155.00/$1) in Intafact Beverages Limited, a green-field brewery set up in Onitsha by SABMiller Breweries of South Africa in 2012.

Onejeme added that the state government still holds 407,321,264 ordinary shares of International Breweries Plc in exchange for the Intafact Beverages Limited investment.

“Based on the NGX closing price of N5.50 as of 20/6/22, these shares were valued at N2,240,266,952 on that date,” the statement reads in part.

“Based on the Central Bank of Nigeria I&E exchange rate of N415.75/US$1.00 on same June 20, 2022, this investment was valued at an equivalent of approximately US$5,388,495.37 (and at N604/$1.00 parallel market rate, only US$3,709,051.24).”

This is 2days to election and you're still asking ridiculous questions, how many nairaland threads have we created showing Obi's legacy projects in education, health and infrastructures.

I even went to a teaching hospital he built without borrowing a dime, I took pictures my self and created a thread about it here on nairaland.

Anambra1st son here, has created hundreds of threads about Obi too, but a blind bat supporter like you can never see anything good past your nose.

Millions of people have made up their mind to vote Obi who will be your next president, keep asking blind questions.

Obi attracted this industrial layout below, thousands of people earn a living there, including your yoruba brothers.

Tinubu's agbado urchins whenever they hear Anambra, they always think its slummy Ibadan or osogbo.

One of them saw a picture of Onitsha on twitter and was asking "wait, is this Anambra state".

They've refused to travel and ignorance has become a part and parcel of them

Seeing all these poor quality road projects littered across the country makes me thank Gov. Wike the more. You may not like his ways but his road projects are of topmost quality. You can be sure Julius Berger won't do a subpar quality road for him he'll openly call them out. When he contracted the law school project to private individuals he went as far as calling the contractors wives to remind their husbands not to squander Rivers State money without doing the project because when he comes to arrest their husbands he'll also arrest them too 😂😂.
Again he constantly remind JB that he gave them money for road projects during the raining season so they also have to work during the raining season, if they won't they should return the money.

So many people don't like his unconventional ways of doing things but it works. Anything you can do to make sure projects are done by the contractor and not just money being pocketed.

This road projects being done by Soludo WON'T last 4yrs.
