no comprehensive information there bro. Also some reports said it started with the 2015 Facelift, and I wanted to confirm from Honda specialists. Not sure where you saw the CVT on the 2011 model tho hence I need confirmation before making the decision.

All CRVs from 2012-2016 use CVT gears, same as Accord 2013 - 2017 4 cylinder US spec.

Their CVT gears are easy to maintain, unlike City CVT gears that a bit delicate

From this comprehensive report, it looks like the CVT was actually introduced in 2015, for the facelifted version.

Wikipedia will show you what model year and then you read carefully down you will see the stated transmission etc that is the spec of the vehicle.

The CR-Vs have been my daily driver for over a decade. I have not heard of Honda CR-V CVT issues. Many cars manufacturers are switching to CVT.
