I knew the gain was going to be short-lived, a more permanent solution is to ramp up exports so we can earn more forex

Propaganda govt

The have agents in all sectors of the economy, media houses, Here on nairaland, etc lies upon lies
and even banks. The only thing that may help the naira is the coming of Dangote refinery. This will go along way in reducing the pressure on naira but I also heard that Dangote planned selling his refined product in dollars . I don't know if Dangote will be saving the dollars in foreign bank account or in Nigeria. Anyway I keep saving in dollars but I have learnt the hard way

Unless Economics suddenly becomes Physics, the Naira is not stabilising any time soon and that's the truth.

Not with the growing debt and constant imports.

True ...but the main reason why naira is weak is because we source for over $15 billion dollars bringing refined oil from overseas....

Once Dangote kick start....he will save us the stress of sourcing $15 billion and in return 80% of the money we pay to Aliko , bad man will still pump it into the eco system grin

Inorder words , money isn't really leaving our shores.
I don’t know who needs to hear this: Dangote refinery operations will be intentionally disrupted due to selfish and vested interest.
Aliko Dangote knows that he makes more money importing refined products at a cheaper rate than he’ll ever make refining.
I really wish this wasn’t the case, but unfortunately, it is.

Don't worry... They are preparing to take more loans to prop the Naira, and give stupid supporters something to brag about.

There is a price to pay for propaganda.

Sadly, this price will be paid by every Nigerian living in Nigeria. Una go hear word!

Nigeria is import dependent that is why the price of dollars matter.
Re: Naira Crashes To 1,030/$ As Speculators React by bigiyaro(m): 9:44am On Nov 07, 2023
The naira will move to #1,500/$1 by December. By Jan/Feb #1500 will become the authentic support level. Until the real concrete step of senseable spending, rational importations, zero looting, and solid positive policies(backed by action) are put in place, no make up or dress up will save our naira.

Do you really believe Dangote refinery, after importing crude at international market price, will save the naira?

All these Naira & Dollar markets dey very unstable.
My standard for Good Governance remains Cost of Living as reflected in prices of goods and services in the market.
That is it, Dollar fell, Naira fall, pounds rises, all are means nothing to an average citizen as long as prices of commodities are still sky high all these dollar news are just rubbish. People still cannot afford food and common goods. People are stiil poorer than they were.

Read my post well, if you don't have a good thing to say or counter it, Bleep off. Nigerians think they are smart but actually very dumb...if we run the country to the ground with our greedy choices, criminals will rob you,. kidnappers will kidnap you because of failed economy, and you fools will become refugees abroad. Idiots.
