Omix2:
For change of conditions, foreign PCC(s) should cover any country/countries the applicant has resided in, for more than 12 months, within the latest 5 years preceeding the application date.
Only straight renewal applications do not require foreign PCCs.
SA PCC would be paid for at the point of application in both cases.
Thus, applicant needs to provide foreign PCC(s) in respect of the 3 years preceeding the 2 years they have spent within the country.

I am talking about the case of not living south africa for the last 2years..

It doesn't matter if you haven't lived in south Africa for the past 2 years. If you've ever lived in South Africa for more than a year in the past you need a police report from south Africa if you are applying for a long stay in South Africa. Unfortunately that is their rule. If you've never resided In South Africa or any other country for more than a year then you don't need a police report from those countries.

This DHA eVisa seems to be taking forever for adjudication, please what's the average time from recent experience?

WHEN ARRIVING SA, YOU ARRIVE THROUGH JO BURG OR TAMBO, THEN FLYSA AIR TO CPT. YOU DID NOT KNOW, SO YOU CAN RE TRAVEL SINCE YOU ARE BACK. YOUR VISA IS STILL VALID.

Ok.. Thanks!!..This happened in February this year so don't know whether the evisa can expire..

Also, has anybody travelled with evisa recently..and how long did the application take before you received the visa?
I will really appreciate a quick response on these questions.. Thanks!!

I have been to SA thrice this year and my visas came out in less than 7days, and i think the last one was just 2days. I am a frequent traveler,so our cases are not same.
For someone i know traveled recently, visa came out in 10days. SA visa is also quite tough to get now, you have to get your applications right. I wish you luck.

Hello bro,

Please, the visa I used previously was the VFS e-visa, I was made to know about the DHA evisa.. please which one works because the cape town airport could not read the vfs evisa, do Johannesburg only read the DHA evisa or both DHA and VFS evisa..some members of this community was once complaining about that same vfs evisa before.. please I will really appreciate any clarification on this matter..Thanks again

Hi,
To answer you correctly, Please find the link i used for all my 3 applications here
https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit/login
That been said, the department of home affairs is one entity. Whether vfs or dha. There is only one home affairs, because i personally visited their office in Pretoria and also stopped by at VFS office.
The VFS works for DHA as a submission center. They file for applicants and process to DHA. so please, dont mix things up.
If you are arriving in SA, You can arrive at 2 point OR TAMBO in Johannesburg or Capetown International Airport, which is just about 2hrs from Johannesburg. However, while filling your application, if you didnt put Capetown as arrival point, dont arrive there. Arrive in Jo burg. OR TAMBO is more sophiscated to handle all sort of visas. So i will go back to my initial response to you. Arrive in jo burg, rest a day in Pretoria, and fly SAA To CPT(Capetown) the following day.

Congratulations to your pastor and please arrive at the right point and get your documents together.
Cheers.

I flew Airpeace, kenya Airways and Aircotedvoire at the 3 instances. For me, i book the cheapest, and i aint bothered about the number of stops as long as it doesnt exceed 6-8 hrs,I am good.

Looking at the otps(Online travel platforms) Taag Airlines is the cheapest at the moment. They stop in Luanda for 6hrs, so pls confirm with your ticketing agent to be sure of what you booking.

A quick question please..

Can someone who is currently in SA on a study permit that will expire in the 31st Dec travel from SA to 9ja on 5th Dec and back to SA on the 28th after study permit renewal?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 1:58pm On Nov 07, 2023
Anyone got this from VFS lately?

Your application is received and under assessment at "The South Africa High Commission,Lagos. You will be notified via SMS/Mail once your passport is ready for collection

Where are you processing the study permit renewal? If you are already processing it in SA, just stay put.

If you intend to go and process in Nigeria, you are on your own. A friend did d same and was stuck in Nigeria for 5 months. Renewals are best processed within SA. And it still takes months.

Or what happens if for instance your airline comes up with a story and cancels flight on the 28th December?

Too risky in my opinion.

The application of study renewal has already been processed in Cpt. The person just want to visit home for Xmas and come back on the 28th Dec (within the validity of the previous visa.)what cause your friend to be stuck?

You can travel and return on the said date. To be on the safe side, carry evidence to show that you are in the process of renewing.

Ok. Thought you were going to renew in Nigeria. Thats why my friend was stuck.

You can travel but like the other person said, make sure you have your proof of your renewal application with you.

If i were you, I'd come back much earlier

Please I have a quick question..I'm applying for the evisa and my partners parents are late..
If i indicate that they're late will I be required to submit a death certificate.?
I once saw a post someone made saying that she was requested to upload the death certificate because she filled that one of her parents was late...thanks!!
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 10:13pm On Nov 08, 2023
If Parent are late, you can use an affidavit from High court in place. You need get the date of passing and other requisite. Affidavit covers these categories. Simple
