Floky215:@bidexiii please I don't mean to derail your thread just want things straighten up. Now @floky215 while I will agree with you on many of the point you raised here, if you seems to be confusing arabic and Islam. The palestanians are Arabs, yes. Arabic is a group of Semitic language which includes hebrew and aramic so even Israel is family of that group, and yes religion blinds you to the truth. |

23jerryking:You call Wikipedia a source... Lol... In Universities, when you write academic materials and you quote wikipedia, it an automatic fail .at least this is true in all Federal Universities. Secondly, Internet is full of gliberrish, it has site that proves the opposite of every fact Even in today's world, u can find sites that prove that the Earth is flat... Those that mean the earth is flat. Well we believe what we need to believe You claim to be a student of history, read certified books of history pls, those that were peered reviewed, even those ones are not without their criticism. E.H Carr, insist history is full of inaccuracies... Some even say history is written by the victor or the biggest mouth, so that a lie repeated overtime becomes a truth.... I think UN has it own history regarding these Territories.. |

Floky215:Jerusalem at every point in time had been a multi ethnic city because of it religions importance, while there is always a dominant group it is pure fallacy and complete ignorance to say it was solely occupied by a certain group , and this is true even before the conquest of salahudeen Secondly, in ancient times, if u paid proper attention to ur history class, Conquest, Act of first settlement, and evidence of long possession has always been recognized mode of acquiring title and ownership to land, therefore if an army defeated you, you ceded land to them... Thus is true with Romans, and even your colonial masters - the British. And therefore same for the Arabs.. And is that not what the Israelites are trying to do today in Palestine.... |

Floky215:Lol... Atheism itself is a Religion/ A Creed Additionally, Religion Christian/Muslim, don't dish out poison, NO., Pple do, Islam/Christianity is pure. Humans misinterpret 90 percent of the world practices Religion so it has to be the major cause of blame, If the world had more atheist, then atheism would be the blame....perhaps with atheist it would be more disastrous as the only form of restraint they have would be their own conscience Religion is an easy justification for Violence, Without Religion, Violence will always have an excuse in ethnicity, colour, resources etc. |

Israel aside One fact to take away from these is that, the West has set a bad precedent, countries can now attack an enemy without fear of collateral damage, At least, if u country us part of the west You can do as u see fit against other climes with ineffective condemnations. If today China decides to fvck Taiwan up, with help of Russia votes in UN.. it would do so without any serious consequences aside economics And it certainly changing the role of the Power to Veto in the UN.. Perhaps in the future the power to veto may he reduced through some other measures... This veto power has been a headache, first the US has vetod in favour of all wars it had waged against Innocent countries. |

GeneralFarouq:While I agree with you that man is the problem and not religion per say, I do not agree with you that atheism is a form of religion. Mine originate from extensive research on religion and the evolution of human history and I came to the conclusion religion is man made. It's man earliest form of science science and philosophy. The genesis which is the creation story of the Bible is just a little piece of larger Jewish religious text which are based on more older Mesopotamia text too. Now if you if you read the Mesopotamia creation story you will similarities with Jewish text. Now the major difference is while the wouldn't go to the origin of God, the older text describe the origin of the gods. |

Blakjewelry:Isn't it rather interesting that man's "latest" form of science has regressed so badly that it shies away from the major questions that the "earlier" man kept in his heart? Namely “Where did the universe and the earth come from?” “Why do we humans exist?” “How did we get here on earth?” “What is the end purpose of life?” The "latest" science has at best been peer reviewed myths. And God forbid it is humble enough to admit it. |

Odunayaw:Well I won't say as such, though while science today is driven by how to get the next dollar out of the system, man today finds himself in a complex situation because he can not simply deny the truth. Now when it comes to the issues you raised, while our ancestors can simply use the concept of God to explain the origin of life and the universe and it was OK, same can not be said for today's man. How man views the universe in the old is quite different from based on evidence today. While ancient man thinks man and earth is the centre of the universe, today we know earth is just one of the trillions of plants, the jwst telescope shows there are billions of galaxies out there as far as our current tech can view not to talk of the ones we can never see because they have stretches beyond the speed of light meaning we can never view even if our tech will advance to it highest point. Not one tell you the origin of the universe because that information is contained in another timeline but we can only trace as far back as close to the origin. I know many people tend to criticize the big bang theory, but it is the only model that hold true for a while now and it constantly been put to test whenever a new information arises and it has not failed. One beautiful thing about science is, the truth always hold until a better one is established. The purpose of life in general is complex question because why religion wants to believe we are created just to serve God, it doesn't answer why create billions and trillions of planets, are those planets without life. If there is life on those planet then it means we are not unique as we thought, then if there are no life why go through the trouble of building them and are they not waste of resources? Also scientifically it is known that the sun will grow old and die with the earth one day maybe that is what the ancient sees when they talk off hell on earth I don't know. |

Blakjewelry:Thanks for your response. Although we risk derailing the thread I'd just like to add a bit. I am astounded at science or should I say the apostles of it's religion for how patronizingly superfluous they can be. A very sharp contrast between the ancients and the modern man about the origins of the universe is that the former is in a quest to answer that so it can fine-tune it's place in the symphony of creation. The latter? The pride in it's heart gives it new curiosity that further takes it far away from answering "why are we here and to what end". Isn't it funny that it takes the brightest of minds to discover the sheer accuracy needed for our universe to even...exist, and the dumbest of man (for they think religion is dumb) to refute that all this happens by chance. It is this superfluity that rears it head in the concept of multi universes. "if it takes so much accuracy to achieve this universe, there must be maths that produce other universe". |

NO HIDING PLACE FOR TERRORISTS IN THE NORTHEAST AS AIR STRIKES CONTINUE TO DENY THEM FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT Two major air strikes on 8 November and 11 November 2023 undertaken by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai have led to the decimation of several terrorists taking cover at Ajigin and Banki Junction areas located in Borno State. In efforts aimed at clearing the remnant of terrorists coming to terms that their efforts at causing mayhem and disunity among law-abiding Nigerians are efforts in futility, air interdiction missions were conducted on their enclaves situated at 1.9km South of Ajigin on 8 November 2023. The terrorists, who had hidden 4 gun-trucks under thick shrubs had earlier perfected plans to attack friendly troops’ location around Damboa and Wajiroko. During the air strike, 3 of the gun-trucks were struck, as evidenced by the thick black smoke and fire from the trucks after the strike, while the last gun-truck was observed fleeing the scene of the strike. The truck was subsequently tailed for about 26 Km and thereafter disappeared under a tree. The truck was subsequently struck and observed to be on fire with no sign of movement at the location. The destruction of the 4 gun trucks, along with the occupants, effectively degraded the capability of the terrorists to attack friendly forces and locals within the area. Air interdiction missions were also conducted at a location 7km East of Banki Junction on 11 November 2023. The location was a well-known terrorists’ enclave hitherto deserted but suddenly active with high terrorists’ activities and used as logistics storage area and staging area to attack troops locations at Bank Junction. The need to attack the location thus became necessary. Accordingly, NAF aircraft were scrambled to interdict the location. The aftermath of the strike revealed the destruction of the location with the logistics sites on fire. In an apparent display of desperation, confusion and at a loss on why they have continually been on the receiving end of the Nigerian military, the terrorists have continued to feel the firepower of both the air and ground forces. Indeed, the inability of these terrorists to move freely and at will is also attributed to the effectiveness of the operational jointness exhibited, especially by the air and ground troops, which should be commended.
