I wonder what the government has done with all the money recovered from Abacha and his Family.

Abacha keeps sending money to Nigeria from the land of the dead

I sometimes wonder how much IBB and his Family looted too considering the fact that Nigeria made so much money from the Gulf war oil windfall.
That will be a topic for another day.

I'm beginning to think that Abacha didn't loot all these money as being speculated but saved or put them away for rainy days or something. Some might have been looted but I don't think all was looted. As head of state, he didn't need approval from anybody to take decision. I think if he didn't die prematurely, he would've declared his intention for doing what he did at the right time. This is just my opinion.

How can he comfortably loot more than $4.4 billion

Typically, when wealthy people like Bill Gates made so much money they didn't need, they set up a foundation to fight diseases or poverty around the world, including Africa.

But when a Black leader gets the opportunity to fix his shithole country, he loots his country's treasury to finance foreign banks. Tomorrow, Nigérians will still blame the colonial masters for the underdevelopment in Africa.

Maybe we have to resort to that as our FDI or FIFA. Ibori, IBB, Abdusalam and all have loots in billions of dollars abroad. I repatriated, it will help our economy a great deal.

No matter what Abacha remains the best head of state. Economy was stable in spite of international sanctions. A Dollar to naira was between 18-22 naira. Dealt with Cameroon when they trespassed Bakkassi peninsula. Refused to be intimidated by any world power till CIA killed him with nerve agent through Yasser Arafat. If he were to be alive today, he would be a Saint like Obasanjo, IBB, Gowon, Abdulsami Abubakar and co. Abacha throughout his 5yrs as head of state never travelled outside Africa, in Africa he only attended ECOWAS and OAU (AU) meetings.
