Do not come here and exhibit your ignorance of the discussions going on to free Nnamdi kanu b4 xmas, I just dislike it when people comment on issues they have very little grasp of! Do you know how many nations and prominent people are involved in the high level talks and process ...........this is a "quid pro quo" negotiation.........PLEASE KEEP YOUR PEACE!

This is what those that have benefited from ESN are saying.

First hand testimony.

Obviously, ESN can do even better, if State Governors like Mba and Soludo stop fighting them and face delivery of good Governance.

ESN cannot be facing Fulani Militia and at the same time Nigeria Army, and then State Governor of the people they are trying to protect.

If you cannot say something nice about t he boys losing their life to keep you safe, dont say anything at all, just shut up.

The attitude of some of our people can be so frustrating and vexatious! I never agreed with all Kanu did talk less of Simon Ekpa but they have remained resolute in the face of incredible opposition and obstacles! I cannot come and start listing my disagreements with IPOB in public in the midst of the massive humiliation Ndigbo are facing all around the country! Those accusing ESN of violence have not commented on the constant kidnapping of our youth especially in the Enugu axis by FULANI hersmen terrorists...what of the decaying corpses found in the cattle market in Lokpanta in Abia state....we will not allow our land to be turned into another middle belt PERIOD !! ....if you no like my comments go hug a transformer!

You obviously do not know your people very well............Most of the killings are done by opportunistic criminals and believe it or not by hirelings of the security agencies....! Yes,there have been a lot of "false flag" operations carried out by our own Igbo youth sponsored by security agents! That is obvious to any discerning individuals...........where I have issues with Simon Ekpa is that he has not maintained the kind of tactical discipline that was the hallmark of the iPOB led by Nnamdi kanu but believe it or not Simon Ekpa is actually a better strategist.................his activities has been more impactful! ............My fear about Simon Ekpa is that he may not be as pragmatic as Nnamdi kanu! Truth is that IPOB/ESN has made its point and the masses have also endured a lot of hardship as well........Unfortunately our naive southeast politicians did not cease the opportunity of the agitation to force more concessions from the dominant fulani/yoruba ruling class..............Aside fiscal autonomy.......they should have fought for some kind of state or regional police as well! ESN really panicked them.....that was why APC established the Nasir el rufai led costitutional amendment committee, today states are free to establish rail lines and set up their own independent power systems..........Liberty is not free, its field is irrigated by the blood of genuine patriots and heroes.........

Anambra Student Excels As Overall Best Female Candidate In 2023 NECO
Ifebube Chelsea Benson, an 18-year-old prodigy hailing from Ndikelionwu in Orumba North Council Area, has etched her name in the annals of Anambra’s academic prowess by clinching the title of the overall best female candidate in the 2023 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE).

The NECO SSCE, an annual litmus test evaluating the knowledge and capabilities of high school students nationwide, witnessed Ifebuche’s stellar performance, outshining her peers across the country to secure this coveted distinction.

Ifebuche’s brilliance shone through in nine subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and three others. Her remarkable academic feat has earned her the distinguished accolade of the best overall female candidate nationally in the 2023 SSCE, a testament to her dedication and intellectual prowess.

NECO plans to recognize and honor Ifebuche’s outstanding achievement with an Award of Excellence at their upcoming annual event in Niger State later this year.

Christian Aburime, the Press Secretary to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, commented on this remarkable feat, attributing Ifebuche’s success to her unwavering commitment and hard work. He expressed confidence that her accomplishments would continue to illuminate the state, leaving an indelible mark on her family, school, and the entire Anambra community.

Aburime remarked, “Her achievement not only brings pride to her family and school but also adds glory to the state of Anambra. Ifebuche’s stellar performance sets a formidable benchmark for future students, and her success story stands as an inspiration for many aspiring minds to follow in her illustrious footsteps.”

“Anambra, renowned for excellence in all fields, celebrates yet another outstanding academic success. Ifebuche has achieved remarkable heights, reinforcing Anambra’s legacy of excellence,” concluded Mr. Aburime.

It's normally people who don't like a thread or issue being discussed and want to derail it that make those kind of comments. They're normally impostors looking to give envious Igbo-haters the 'excuse' needed to come into the thread, though a few genuine monikers can equally be affected by what i call the nairaland dick-measuring disease!

I have noticed this. Whenever Anambra achieved a success you will usually see some elements turning it into Igbo vs Yoruba. These people doing this are usually not from Anambra.

What is it with the current ministry of work and delay of contacts and work? Thank God work has finally resume on Enugu/Onitsha expressway after work was stopped because of construction issue between RCC and the new minister of works; though the matter which is on the table of the Senate has not been resolved completely.

The minister of works is insisting that all federal roads should be concrete Base instead of stone base which RCC are using.
For me; well constructed stone base which has proven to be best and stand test of time is better than over hyped concrete base. Concrete base crakes/ tear months after completion. What happens is... When concrete base road is heated under normal temperature, it expands on the lines (point) were the concrete are joined by square meters, coursing crack and tear on the concrete base/ asphalt.

Below is example from some Ebonyi concrete roads including airport road and runway.

What's your opinion on this?

Truth be told, concrete roads reinforced with 6mm to 8 mm rods are the most durable roads globally. Especially in environments with high rainfall. Those living in southern US states will attest that even their streets are made from reinforced concrete and they last more than 50 years with almost zero maintenance. Of course, reinforced concrete roads are way more expensive than laterite or stone-based roads. But they will last longer. That is why you will always find that the laterite or stone-based roads leading to a Nigerian bridge will totally break down but the tar on the bridge itself is in perfect state! It is because the tar on the bridge is sitting on a concrete base of the bridge.
If the damage of crack on the concrete roads you showed had happened on laterite or stone-based roads, that spot would have since been a huge pothole covered in red mud.

The issue with the Ebonyi Airport runway is that they built the concrete base of the runway without adding a very high height of asphalt to make it smooth. Actually, all major American airport runways have concrete bases, but they also spend to lay a generous layer of asphalt over the concrete so that it is not a very rough runway like the Ebonyi airport.

Finally, concrete roads are built in square blocks or slabs that allow for "expansion and contraction". This is simple physics (Linear expansivity). Thus, concrete roads are not built continuously like laterite roads without giving little breaks so that they can expand on very hot days and contract on cooler days. If little room is not given for expansion and contraction, the concrete will crack when it expands and slide against itself, then contracts on cooler days. As an Engineer, the Minister should know this principle of physics. It is the reason why any bridge must have small gaps on the surface to allow for safe expansion and contraction, otherwise, the bridge would collapse on a very hot day when the materials expand.

There's a section of the sidewalk that has a sharp downwards slope on one side. For safety reasons they should fix some kind of barrier/railing at that spot so pedestrians don't slip and fall down it.

The 2.3 km more street-Iweka Road, Onitsha road project is presently at asphalting stage. The road project contract is being handled by Zhongtian Construction Nigeria Ltd and they're swift on delivering the project at record time.

Just like Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo promised; slow, steady and he'd deliver the secured, smart, livable and prosperous homeland he promised Ndi Anambra.

Soludo started very slow but he is picking up the pace and I know by the end of his administration Anambra state will witness a massive change in the areas of road infrastructure. I am more concerned with Onicha and Awka. If he can transform these two cities I will be please because that would have solved about 35% of our road infrastructure headache

They need to do something about Keke, shuttle and buses. Roads are being messed up by these animals. Keke and shuttle operators need to be licensed and subjected to written tests.

Awka and Onitsha should restrict Keke and shuttle to the outskirts.
