A lots of states in the federating unit have gone economically clueless because the FG itself is in the same shit. So then the month FAAC allocation should also go in the same PAYE ratio.

This is the time for the contraption to practice true federalism. Let the states control their resources but be contributing a quota to the center.

All this things are rubbish

Allow People control their resources
Allow all ports to be equal so you can import and export from any port
Give all roads to state government
Give all universities to state government
Give all airports back to state government

Let the state compete and pay 35% of revenue as tax to the feral government if and only if that 35% is a minimum of 75 billion

so every state must pay federal government a minimum of 75 billion or 35% of revenue which ever is bigger

When it comes to revenue generation, some states are just parasite in Nigeria. FG should stops spoon feeding them.

If Rivers did not come first, then auditors should review the activities of Obio/Akpor LG which aggressively generates revenues, even more than some state governments.

N2.5b for the entire state is a blatant lie, because Obio/Akpor could conveniently generate that within a month!

All these states that are not viable on their own should be joined together!

Ah ah! Why would all the LGs in a state not generate anything?

How can a whole Kaduna be on that list?!!

This system of government where states do nothing but incur expenses while their governors feed fat off federal allocations needs to be done away with.

Any state that can't sustain itself or that lacks the resources to do so should be merged with other more productive states.

Some governors spend 8 years without a damn thing to show in terms of economic growth in their states... No investments, no mass production, no revenue schemes,... Absolutely NOTHING but debts.

shocked

I doubt the authenticity of this report

In Akwa Ibom State for example, how can the whole 31 LGAs generated a mere 55m in the whole of 12months?

So long as Akwa Ibom State that I know is concern
Uyo LGA
Eket LGA
Ibeno LGA
Ikot Ekpene LGA and
Abak and Ikot Abasi LGAs are capable of generating at least of N500m per months altogether.

Except there is a massive looting in the Local Governments

Everyone can now see the main reason Aguiyi Ironsi eradicated regional governments and promulgated his draconian decree 34.
I trust his people will soon come out to say it's because of Oyo state's proximity to Lagos that helped them to generate the highest revenue.
Ibadan/Oyo state you call brown roof hqrs generated almost 12billion, while your Anambra's home of phantom billionaires generated paltry 154million even behind Osun and Ekiti states.

Southeast has very dull, corrupt and clueless leaders... This is not even up for argument.

Sadly, the same can be said for a lot of South-south states as well.

That's why I keep telling them that their real Biafra Agitation ought to begin within and among themselves at home... They need to collectively go back home and put their houses in order instead of yapping at Aso Rock like toothless cowards.
