The country is hard and this is ill time to render citizens homeless in Lagos. Do not set up Lagos on flames because of tribalism. If demolition is the last resort, ensure you give them adequate accommodation, because what goes around comes around.

You’re not the Lagos governor. So you don’t know what’s right or not right. There is a city plan and it’s government responsibility to implement all policies to make sure the city is developing at the expected pace

Your Lagos governor doesn't have a sense, not everybody can forgive, and that is what you should bear in mind.

Maybe you don't know, what he is doing to those landlords is pure murder. Demolishing someone house is the same thing as killing the person.

cool

The Government needs to keep the Population safe from Flooding that is why the properties are being demolished but they need to have a more Human face so people don't become Hospital Cases

What LASG can do to help those whose property's were demolished is to allocate them Low Cost Govt Houses and allow them to pay installments payment till they finish paying for the Property just so they and their Children are not Homeless . People should have Chance to move to alternative accommodations first

Lagos state government officials are the cause of this, before somebody buys land, the person must do what they call SEARCH in the ministry of lands. Nobody builds a house in Lagos without government permission and approval. This is pure wickedness.

Lagos has always had a Town Planning Council. It was called Town Council under colonial rule. Lagos has never allowed itself to be subsumed by lack of planned settlements. We must enforce settlement laws and neighborhood edicts. If you become homeless because of a demolition approach your landlord for refund of your rent...or buy ticket for next Ekene Dili Chuckwu out of town. Onitcha has room to accomodate returnees.

The Lagos governor does not want anyone who built where he or she is not authorised to build to forgive, with his actions he want such individual to go to hell n rot in hell.

If that individual is any Igbo that gladens the governors even more. In you foolish mind you think you threaten anyone with forgiveness na WA for all this foolish fools Sha.

Just imagine this fool, God Yorubas don suffer for Lagos. Igbos are now threatening Yorubas in their land.

This comment show you will die lying. After doing your search you will be told details about the land in clear categorical terms n given fraud alternatives to sabotage the system n govt.

You now have the prerogative of paying for such land n facing the consequences. I once bought a land at Orchid n ensure the Baale, secretary treasurer were all videoed signing the papers n that is me that I am a Yoruba.

When you buy land close to waterways you know the dangers n should be ready for it. When you buy land with document not explicit you put yourself in danger.

The money spent to buy land is more than enough to have second third n fourth tot over n ensure you are not swindled.

If the Lagos state government stop destroying houses built on drainage, when Lagos gets flooded, it won't stop people like you from mocking the state.

There was demolition of hundreds of buildings in Anambra state, Same in Abia. You didn’t see anything wrong in those two states, but you want to die on Lagos matter.
Re: This Is Not The Best Time To Demolish Houses In Lagos by Armaggedon:
Let him demolish let our people learn practical lessons. Experience is the best teacher. No place like home.

As for Lagos, it might sound impossible but it's collapse has started. Up till today northerners are yet to come to terms with what happened to once thriving industries in Kaduna, Maiduguri, Kano etc Until early 2000 these places were filled with food processing factories, textile mills, and agro industries, but they gradually started to wind down due to constant threats to southerners, religious and political violence and sectarian violence among the indegenes. Today, these places have almost collapsed.

Only a fool thinks Lagos is immune to that.
