I've had lots of discussions about this movie. When I watched it in cinemas first of, I was just so overwhelmed that I couldn't even understand what was really going on. I was just soaking in the cinematic masterpiece that it was
So I recently watched it on my laptop in 4k. Just from the sound only at the beginning with the rain dropping sounds, I just replayed just that 1 minute before we could see Oppenheimer's face over and over and over again; the music blasting all through the movie just had its own story to tell that it didn't really feel like a movie to me anymore but a visual orchestra. When I heard that Can you feel the music I immediately went to Spotify to listen to it repeatedly. No doubt, this movie is one of my top 5 movies of all times.

I won’t judge you because I don’t judge people.

It is understandable that some people’s brain are wired to only assimilate Nollywood & Bollywood movies, and when such people watch classic Hollywood masterpieces, their brains would never comprehend a single thing.

For example, 2004 was the last time I watched any Nollywood movie (both English & Yoruba) because their plots & themes are so similar, watery & predictable.

Another example, Nollywood movies would be playing Buga by Kizz Daniels or Davido’s Away not because those music go with the senseless story they are telling but because those songs are currently trending all over the Country.

Bollywood movies on the other hand would produce a movie with a run time of 3hours and spend half of that time to be singing & dancing to incomprehensible songs.

While I admit that I still have “3 idiots” and “RRR” in my archive, I can never add any Nollywood movie into my library even if it is produced & directed by Steven Spielberg or James Cameron - because 97% of their movies are ALWAYS centered on Cultism, Prostitution, Armed Robbery, Money Ritual & Clubbing.

Although, there have been countless instances where some highly overhyped movies turn out to be complete disappointments but calling every commenter on this thread a liar is insulting.

One man’s meat is another man’s poison. Drop your ratings on movies in this thread and move on.

BTW, Oppenheimer is a masterpiece. The film sweet die!

The level the movie was produced is very difficult for some person like the quy you quoted to comprehend, Oppenheimer is one movie with touch of all in an advance way.

The science, politics, betrayal, trust, love, just name it are what makes me fall in love with the movie.

I watched this in preparation for watching the Scott Pilgrim anime...and I freaking love it.

I can see why people love it. It was crazy and held nothing back.

I kinda wish Scott Pilgrim ended up with Knives but I get that she's a 17 years old highschoolers and that he loved Ramona so this was how it would end...

Ludwig cooked with the "Mando" score, but with CN previous association with Hans Zimmer, i thought he would score this too but maann Ludwig did a fantastic job. I don't think another project this year had a better score.

Yup. He is actually quite accomplished lol. He got an oscar and a Grammy i think for the Black Panther (2018) score.
