Your mom should have tried to unite you and your half siblings before her death. It is said that half siblings who share the same mother are closer than those who share the same father. I wonder why you never met with your siblings.

I believe you are old enough. You should make an effort to trace them even if it's obvious they don't care. Because if they actually care, they could have linked up with you before now.

I've tried to several times but it's hard. I only know their first names, I don't even know their surname, I don't know the state they are or if they're in Nigeria at all. When I reunited with my biological sister, she told me she only met them once and at the time, they were in Enugu. My aunt from my mother's side who is the only family member that I know from my mother's side (we also reunited after so many years), I asked her about them and she said that the female one now has a child, but is no longer with the man whom she has the child with. Even she doesn't care about them. I was heart broken cos I didn't even know that I have a nephew.

Many times I've shed tears due to the dysfunctional way my family is. My family has never been united. My father hates every single memory of my mother, and my mother's family hates him as well, even up till today. At some point, they accused him of being responsible for my mother's death which is absolutely not true. Sometimes I feel my father doesn't care much about I and my biological sister cos we came from my mother. I have a tattoo of my mother's name and a heart shape on my left wrist. The day my father saw it, he was filled with resentment and kinda withdrawn from me. He didn't make it obvious but I knew cos I have a very strong discerning spirit and I know him very well. I know he doesn't hate us, I just think we bring back memories of her.

I understand. Let me tell you something. You don't have to be a believer or belong to a religous faith to unleash this secret. Don't stop giving and see how flourishing you'd become. That little you have came to you for a reason , which I talked about earlier in my post. There's a widow I can't even recognise if I see her face to face among those that I give to. Because I know this secret, I never stopped being blessed. I don't want to say more than this. Even here on NL, I give without looking back. Pls don't stop.

So sad to read! I just hope you have a good relationship with the biological sister you know. You guys can grow in love and change the narratives. Don't allow history to repeat itself.

We're so close we've all watched the same tv series and there must be more than 100 different ones not counting movies regardless of whether we're together or not. Not like we don't have our bad moments o but they never last past a couple of days

Many bread winners don't seem to realise that God has placed them in that position so they too can be of help to people around them, including their siblings . The moment they stop, either due to their wife's or husband's or friend's bad advice, the blessing stops too.

Till date, i still send money to my older siblings and God's help and blessing never stop.
