The National Assembly Joint Committee on Electoral Matters, with the support of Yiaga Africa and the European Union, specially invites citizens, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties, civil society organizations, development partners, etc. to a Citizens’ Townhall on Electoral Matters.

Date: TUESDAY 28th November, 2023.

Presentations at the Town-hall should be structured but not limited to the following themes:

1. Unbundling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)

2. Mode of appointment of the INEC chairman and commissioners

3. Voting rights and inclusivity

4. Early voting and diaspora voting

5. Voter registration and voter register

6. Nomination of candidates

7. Electoral technology

8. Ballot management

9. Election results management

10. Electoral offences prosecution

11. Pre-election and post-election litigation

12. Election security

13. Violence, voter suppression and vote-buying

That's it.

Some stay on the fence and continued looking.

Others got tired of the whole thing.
Others left Naija and stopped minding.
Others got frustrated.

But some others continued hoping that the system will get better.

Thanks.

It's not easy for us to continue to hope and try, and expecting the toils to come out good in the end.

It takes extra level of endurance and patience.

Don't get angry bro..

We either scatter them.
Or else we reform them.

We cannot stay and complain and still do nothing,, and be waiting hopelessly for the next cycle.

Whether we like it or not,, time will continue to pass.

After the 2022 electoral act was signed into law, we all thought we were making progress

I thought so too..

But after reading the so-called Electoral-Act-2022,, I discovered that the Electoral-Act still has a very long waayyy to go..

I did this review inside this link below..
If you read it,, you will understand fully well that the Electoral-Act-2022 just solved only one-tenth of our Electoral Shortcomings in Nigeria.

If you're currently in Nigeria, (Abuja to be precise), and you're not eating fat from this current system,, and the present hardship is actually affecting you in any way..

And you're saying this thing you just said now..

Then,, .... Sorry.

The day you will see the deceit in all these government shenanigans will be the day your liberation starts. As long as you still flow with the lies and deceit, I think you deserve the sorry more bro!🤷‍♀️

For the fact that you continue to see all the things you're seeing,, and you still continue to believe that nothing you do can ever work in correcting all those things..
Then,, that's TOTAL DEFEAT..

Sorryy..

Move in the right direction!

INEC needs to consolidate on the outstanding performance of the 2023 election.

Revisiting lessons learnt and discussing best practices and innovation!

I strongly believe with time, the US electoral commission will have a lot to learn from INEC!

INEC is raising the standards and benchmark!

BALDADASH.

I think you should go and take up a career in comedy.

Not after billions were spent on BVAS and people were sensitized to go register believing our votes will count. I know how many people i even begged and induced just to go register and after all the reforms what happened?

Maybe after the criminal we have in Aso rock is done with his 8 years IF GOD ALLOWS,perhaps we will be having this conversation.
