Then I went to VFS this morning with my passport for submission but I was told that it was an error email so they didn't allow me drop my passport saying they will contact me again. Please has anyone ever experienced this?? What was the later outcome??

The evisa function mostly for short term applicants.
You are advised to seek further clarifications from Vfs.

There is something i had always wanted to say here just for the benefit of others. Maintaining a very solid portfolio is a key factor to having successful visa applications. This is what i have successfully been able to build over the last years.
It would interest you readers to know, that for all my South African Visa applications, i had little or less monies in my bank accounts. The last one, i didnt have a penny in my naira account. The 2nd was like 300,400k.
This is to tell you that strong profile and documentation matters.
I hope someone is able to get the message from this post and take one or two lessons for their future applications.
It is not usually about the millions, but your genuiness and ability to prove that you are a legit traveler.

Attach enough credentials and documents to back your applications.

10-20k Rands, hotel should be around 1k-1500rands per night, food is relatively cheap and transportation too. I didn’t do a lot of sight seeing so my budget might not really work for you but make sure you go with dollars or have your card(SA) card activated for international use cos those people will charge you in dollars.

Same exact thing happen to me. I only got the first email requesting me to bring my passport, I got there the following day and was told it was an error email. Imagine the disappointment!

No
Don’t use both
Once you get your document right vfs will issue you the visa
Plus it’s less complicated than the DHA site
Just that it’s more costlier
DHA is 425zar while vfs is 87$
I have used both but I will always prefer the vfs website

I finally got a refusal letter from VFS. The reason for the refusal is/was that the hotel could not confirm my reservation. This is really absurd and very annoying because i applied September 14th and my hotel reservation was for November 5th so they refused me on 29th November saying my hotel reservation could not be confirmed.
