Please what does spontaneous seroconversion mean?
Famocious:
It is caused by Hepatitis B virus.
This virus can be contacted through exposure of infected body fluid such as blood and semen.
The virus can live outside the body for years unlike the HIV that can not survive outside the body for more than 30 minutes.
Commonly transmitted from :
1, Mother to child in utero
2, Blood transfusion with unscreened blood and blood products
3, Sharing of sharps and needles especially during scarification marks, intravenous drug addicts, accidental needle prick
4, unprotected sexual exposure
5, close contacts and sharing of tooth brush which is common among family members and in the nurseries.

If you have a spouse or family member that is positive but your lab is negative, kindly get vaccinated.
Cure for Hepatitis B not yet found but the virus can be suppressed to undetectable level. Some people do have spontenous seroconversion.
If you are positive, see a hepatologist/Gastroenterologyist or infectious disease specialists to manage you.

Hope this is helpful?

Please what does spontaneous seroconversion mean?

Spontaneous seroconversion in hepatitis B refers to the natural and unaided development of antibodies against the hepatitis B virus (HBV) in an individual’s bloodstream.
This process typically occurs after an acute infection with HBV. As the immune system responds to the infection, it produces antibodies, which can be detected in blood tests.
Keep in mind that not everyone with hepatitis B will experience spontaneous seroconversion, and some may become chronic carriers of the virus. Regular medical monitoring is essential for individuals with hepatitis B.
