My friend, we did't all have the same colonialism experience. My people were nearly wiped out by the British, some other people were seen as subservient to the British and were therefore elevated by the British.
The British did everything they could to destroy my people who were seen as a hindrance to colonialism. Even today, the British still won't give us our artefacts (Benin Bronzes) back and still goes on spoiling our name.

Benin city was a built up city before the war Between Benin empire and the British empire. But after the war, Benin city was burnt to the ground and looted and an untold number of Edo (not restricted to the capital Benin city) were massacred with sophisticated weapons such as maxim guns (a sort of general purpose machine gun) and canon fire. (Same weapons they would use in WW2 27 years after 1897)

This is why we need to introduce history in our curriculum. I know that Britain killed people in the South and certain parts of the North but I never knew that it was on a large scale like that. Most of the materials I read gave the impression that Britain got those artifacts through deceit, religious indoctrinagion,and limited force. Thanks for this.

Russia military always in action when it’s come to Israeli military vs Syria military by supporting both sides and sitting very comfortable on the fence.
