GlaxosmithKline isn't leaving because of fake drugs I'm sure fake and substandard drugs are being tackled by nafdac.

They are leaving because there are many local pharmaceutical companies springing up and expanding massively which is reducing their markets.

Many Nigerians pharmacist are now running big private pharmaceutical companies and both import drugs and produce locally.

I know this for a fact.

Reno is twisting the facts to gain attention as usual.

Yes i can buy and that as got nothing do with my status, ... one main distraction consumers have in common is "OPTIONS"
IF i know the whole spark plug in ladipo cost $6 without any cheap one anywhere, i will either buy or wait till i can afford it

Importers are main problem , they want to make quick money instantly and overtime, that cheap plug you bought for #800 will probably last one month on daily use but the original spark plug can last as long as 8month, on the long run most Nigeria consumers are penny wise pound foolish.
On the long run it cost more to settle for fake/inferior items, it more profitable for a seller when a consumer buys fake and come back for replacement often than those that wil buy original and won't show up in the market for long

But presently Nigerian regulators are sleeping and collecting bribes

It was during Obj era that fake drugs were combated

Nafdac under late Prof Dora Akunyili (may her Soul rest in peace) combated and battled fake drugs to standstill

No Government agency is working again
The only thing they know is collect bribe and look the other way

Nafdac, Standard Organization of Nigeria SON, Consumer Protection Council etc are all dead and sleeping

When regulators can't do there work
The bad guys are free to roam around

Take US for example
We know the works anti narcotics agencies, DEA, FBI and other agencies are doing day and night to combat drug issues in the US

Still the bad guys still flood US streets with drugs

Reno no smart at all

Many of them don't reason well

Why there are Government and law enforcement agencies is to regulate activities

If there are no law enforcement
Lawlessness will take centre stage
And bad guys will roam free

Which is what is happening now
There's lawlessness everywhere

They think if igbos have total control of there region that all these madness can happen

When criminals were wreaking havoc in the East after democracy take over in 1999

We know how we dealt with those that didn't want us to rest

It's just when Government fail in there duties

You are the one being unreasonable, "unfair Competition" is what drove glaxosmith out of Nigeria which corroborates your link if analyse properly
India and china are mainly the sources importers get pharmaceutical products, unfortunately these same sources are where Fake drugs are ordered from, Moreover the quantity of imported fake drugs ordered from indian and china outweighs the genuine drugs imported .. Reno is very much in line

Prices of fake or inferior drugs are relatively cheap and thats what makes the "Competition unfair" for brands that can't compromsie standard,
imitation and adulteration is another factor that makes the competition unfair, original product are adulterated and sold in place of the authentic product, people think they are buying glaxo drug but the money is going to one selfish criminal mixing chalk.

Local manufacturers are not much of a threat to a brand like glaxosmith, compared to the damage effect adulteration & importation of fake drugs effect had on them.

The Dora Akuyili that tried to overhaul the system, enforce checks and went after those importing fake drugs what happened to her ? even her husband was not spared in the East .. why ??

Someone provide chalk as alternative to paracetamol, becos people can't afford the genuine drug how is that even a solution. system or no system why should someone even be that wicked all becos you want to make money. We need to tell ourselves bittee truth that will help more
