This is what you get when you draft the military into civil duties. The military is trained to protect the the country for external aggression. In Nigeria, we are using them for internal security. The government should establish a security outfit that is above the police, but below the military that will assisting the police for internal security.

So sad how the government failed woefully in its primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties of its citizens rather kills them
It's just the last nail in the coffins for the ordinary man in nigeria

It's better 100 criminals to escape than kill a single innocent person

Maybe that what happens when communities are too comfortable with bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists living in close proximity to their homes and villages. The government has continued to urge ppl to report strangers and miscreants within their midst.

*A Barbaric Atrocity: Condemning the Bombing of Muslims during Maulud Celebration in Tudun Biri Village, Kaduna State*

By: Abdullahi Musa Yaro
4th December, 2023

The recent bombing of innocent Muslim celebrants during the festivities of Maulud in Tudun Biri Village, Kaduna State is an act of sheer cruelty and a violation of the sanctity of human life. The incident has raised serious concerns about the consistent targeting of Maulud celebrants and calls for immediate international attention. We condemn this dastardly act in the strongest possible terms and implore the United Nations and the international community to take swift action and ensure justice for the lives lost.

*Denial by the Air Force:*
In the aftermath of this horrendous event, it is disheartening to witness the denial by the Air Force who claims there was no airstrike in the last 24 hours. Such an attempt to divert responsibility is not only misleading but also adds insult to injury. The lives lost and the grief experienced by the affected families cannot be undermined or dismissed so callously.

*Systematic Targeting of Maulud Celebrants:*
It is deeply troubling to observe that Maulud celebrants consistently find themselves as targets of violence. This raises serious questions about the motives and intentions behind these cowardly attacks. Every human being, regardless of their religious beliefs, deserves the right to celebrate their faith without the fear of losing their lives. The recurring nature of these incidents demands a thorough investigation to bring an end to this vicious cycle of violence.

*Calling for International Attention:*
The international community must not turn a blind eye to this barbaric act. We urgently appeal to the United Nations to launch a swift and comprehensive investigation into the bombing of Tudun Biri Village. It is crucial to identify the perpetrators behind this act of terror and hold them accountable to prevent future atrocities.

*Seeking Justice for the Victims:*
Justice must be served for the innocent lives lost during the Maulud celebrations. The families affected by this tragedy deserve closure, and the perpetrators must face the full force of the law. We implore the Nigerian government to conduct a fair and transparent investigation, ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice swiftly.

*The Need for Investigation:*
In light of recent events, it is essential to scrutinize the role and potential biases of key military personnel. A Christian General Officer Commanding One Division Nigerian Army, Major VU Okoro, A Christian Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, and A Christian Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja should be investigated thoroughly to uncover any potential involvement, conspiracy, or negligence that may have contributed to this tragic incident.

In conclusion, the bombing of Muslims during the Maulud celebration in Tudun Biri Village, Kaduna State is an abhorrent act that cannot be tolerated. The international community must rise to the occasion and demand justice for the lives lost. It is only through collective efforts that we can ensure the protection of religious freedoms and prevent such acts of violence in the future. The aims of this article is to shed light on this barbaric act and call for immediate action to address this humanitarian crisis.

Nigerian army are helping terrorists to sack communities through air raids. How many times will they apologize when they do this. Seems like the outcome of their meetings with bandit leaders is to help them blow up villages.
We always blame the united states for act of terrorism but they were right when they refused to sell some air crafts to us back then 2017 where they raise issues that the government will use it against civilian populations.

Couldnt this be better stated as "the bombing of human beings or Nigerian citizens". Why must we use religion to classify our countrymen. If the dead were all traditional worshippers would it have been justified? Lets not forget we are first, human beings.

If there was any form of inter-relations, synergy, and cohesion between the different forces, would there have been the need for a first denial by the NAF before this acceptance of culpability by the NA?

This is where my comment stems from because this very show of shame and lack of coordination cuts across all sectors of governance up to the so-called Presidency.

It's hugely embarrassing.
