No ticket can defeat Tinubu in 2027 except if APC split. If they split and most Northern governors port to the other side, then it’s easy to defeat Tinubu.

Buhari unsuccessfully contested to become president on the premise you adduced how many times before a coalition rescued his ambition?.

A Peter Obi vs. Kwankwaso contest will throw up Peter Obi. Kwankwaso will get a chunk of Buhari votes, no doubt, but a careful choice of an Obi VP will eat into that count. Let’s say Kwakwanso and Obi are both on the ballot.

Voters turnout in the North will be massive and he will sweep the whole Muslim North. Check the election result, in most core Northern states dominated by Hausa/Fulani, Peter Obi did not have up to 5%.

You can’t use the concept of proportionality in Nigeria election. If Peter Obi sweep the whole SS + SE and Kwakwanso sweep the whole North, Kwakwanso will still emerge winner.

Wike rigged the election in favour of Tinubu against the wishes of the people that does not make Tinubu any popular in Rivers state.
