The men who tend to be caught in that triangle tend to be those who espouse left-leaning ideas. The line between a man supporting every single Ndi feminism ideology and being ridiculously accused of sexual harassment is very straight.

The left eats their own. It is a cannibalistic movement. As you said, any black African man based outside Africa with a shred of masculinity in him who marries a woman who espouses every single left-leaning ideology is doomed for life!

Yes, the issue with the last paragraph is that black women do not like left leaning men in romantic relationships, they are stingy and usually opt for 50/50. In my general knowledge (i might be wrong), black women do not like that sharing of bills at all. So they still end up with right leaning men at the end & battle it out.

Lots of reading to be honest. Also meeting people in the country and being friends with them way before you even move can also help with your decisions too.

Okay, thank you very much. I've been following you for a while and have seen how much genuine info you share, please don't be discouraged by these unrepentant cornmen. Some of us still need privileged info as we're still working behind the scenes to leave here for good.

Congratulations bro! Your detractors never succeeded. I am sure they are now in sifia pains. grin grin grin grin

All your enemies, die, die, die, die!!!!!

Bants aside, OP has been consistent and persistent in this journey. He did his research really hard and persevered. He applied delayed gratification, saved, curtailed lifestyle inflation etc. He prepared for the worst while in Nigeria because one never loses betting against Nigeria. He deserves it, and I am extremely happy for him.

He has succeeded, and together, we would run things. Expect to see us partying in Brazil, Barbados, Bahamas, Chile, Panama etc.

We would paint Nairaland redddddddddddd grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Indeed
I am so happy for him

Jappanese Nigerians are bad for the Commercials buisness. Why should any foreign nation invest millions on PR companies to advertise thire countries as great places to visit when a Nigerian would do this for free. There are no foreign destinations too shitty for Nigerians to travel and eulogies. undecided

Jappanese Nigerians politicking Japparing are for me worst for Nigeria than the worst politicians.

Just be patient and work hard. There's a lot of great countries aside the popular destinations and even if you don't like where you go, it's easier moving to your dream countries from there than from Nigeria. So long as you have good skills and you are well educated, you won't suffer in any merit based society.

You loved the food. You try o. Chilean food is nonsense na. Aside hotdog and sandwich there's no food in Chile. There's no even pepper here. There's no palm oil. Plantain is hard to find. There's no goat meat. How can you love Chilean food. You are definitely not Nigerian lol. I only eat for survival and not for taste like I used to in Nigeria. I am tired of everything here grin grin. I miss Nigerian food like crazy. If I enter Nigeria God knows I will eat myself to death.

It's not easy bringing food into Chile. They are really strict. They threw away the beans I brought and there isn't a lot of Nigerians or Africans for that business to make sense.

lol , not that bad , ask for pepper in the restaurant even if it’s Tabasco .they have got great Seafood , also steak , part of traveling for me is to experience different cultures , food is a great part of that , It’s china , it’s India , it’s south east Asia , love the food experiences .
Leave all the fast food and try proper restaurants , more expensive though . Was in vina Del Mar , found Chile almost as expensive as usa or Europe , maybe where I stayed . All the best on your journey . Will definitely revisit when I do a South American tour in future

Is that fish salmon? If it is then ,I wouldn't be surprise - Chile is one of the largest producer of that kind of fish together with Norway and Scotland.

To the op saying he missed Nigerian food. I understand. But why happens to being open-minded enough to try out variety of Chilean cuisines out there, you may be surprise how pleasant it will be.

And with the abundant of seafood and fresh produce there , plus some great culinary skills you can always make your tasty dishes yourself. And if you feel stuck YouTube is always there to help you out.

Wish you good luck.

God has finally done it for me grin. 3 years worth of work came to fruition and I was able to japa to Chile tongue tongue tongue. Sharing some pics from my trip and my everyday life on this thread. This is for those who think that south america is hell. Theres a lot of amazing countries in the world. You need to research and figure out what works for you. My flight was from Lagos to doha to Brazil and then finally to Chile. I didn't really start taking any pics until I got into Chile. I am sure you can find thousands of pictures about Brazil, Qatar or Lagos online but hardly anyone has posted anything about Chile.

The first pic is me In the plane crossing the Andes mountains. The light in the distance is the city of santiago.

Second is the airport in concepcion.

Third is my Uber ride from the airport to my Airbnb

An insightful thread.

Internet infrastructure in Chile is very developed. Honestly if not for making calls you can live without getting a sim card. There's literally internet everywhere. From the airport to taxis to trains to buses to restaurants. Just putting up your wifi on any streets brings like 3 free wifi networks and this isn't even the capital city. The capital is Santiago and that's like 7 hours from here. Internet here is also very very fast. Screenshot is from the wifi at the Airbnb I am staying at.
That's what paying attention to little details does in terms of infrastructural delivery in any developing/developed country like Chile. The neatness of the city too is amazing.

This nostalgically reminds me of the pleasant surprise I got on my first ever visit to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire (right in West Africa) by air in the late 1980s (enroute Accra airport). The Abidjan environment blew me away with the cleanliness and wide boulevards right from the airport to the prestigious Hotel d'Ivoire in the Cocody District where I stayed. There was strict respect for the law, zebra crossings, and traffic lights even at night!

They dont allow any seeds. They believe it will corrupt their own agriculture. They take their agricultural sector very very seriously.

Indeed @tensa

They do have a point because some phyto diseases could be introduced into the food chain from imported seeds. This is the way the U.S. and the UK are very neurotic about bringing any uncertified foods into their countries, while they strive to look for new international markets for their own commodities. There is a lot of protectionism going on worldwide at the same time too.

Oh yeah and they seem to also make a lot of money from agriculture so it will make sense being very protective. One of my projects this semester involved me visiting some farms here in Concepción and the scale of operations was massive as hell.
