Days after the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Police made its biggest-ever drug haul in the city, more details have emerged on the kingpin who stored and distributed banned substances across the city. The police had arrested a Nigerian national from whose possession, 16 kg MDMA and 500 grams cocaine was seized.

The Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda on Tuesday said that the seizure was the biggest ever in the history. 16 kg MDMA worth Rs 16 crore and 500 grams cocaine worth Rs 5 crore was seized.

Accused Leonard Okwudili, a Nigerian citizen had come to Bengaluru on a business visa. He had claimed that he was in the country for the garment business. But, he was involved in procuring and distributing drugs across the city.

When the police raided his rented house in Ramamurthy Nagar, the police found a huge quantity of MDMA drugs in various forms like powder and crystals. The accused had stored the drugs in soap boxes, chocolate boxes, and in covers between new dresses.

How the accused procured drugs

The accused had developed a network of drug peddlers in several areas of the country. According to police sources, the accused used to procure drugs from Delhi. Through his associates, the drug was then transported from Delhi to Bengaluru via trains as the security checks were almost nil.

Once the drugs reached Bengaluru, Leonard used to store the drugs in soap boxes, chocolate packets and in between new dresses to avoid detection. The accused rented several houses in the city from where the drugs were distributed to several peddlers. He reportedly earned more than a lakh rupees per day which was sent back to Nigeria. The accused owned several posh bungalows back home.

The accused had procured more drugs this time as he had planned to distribute them in the New Year parties to be held in the city. The police have got his custody and are interrogating him to find the details of his associates.

well if he is found guilty he should be punished accordingly.

It is not condoned where he comes from unlike a people that made their hard drugs dealer a president and their foremost traditional ruler called Ooni tells youths to make him their role model.

I am Igbo but I don't pity any Igbo man doing drug trafficking business in South and Southeast Asia, who's caught by the authorities.
They deserve whatever they get .
Upon all the stories of thousands of Igbos imprisoned and executed by the governments of those countries, more Igbo idiots are still trooping there for drug trafficking.
Indonesia in particular has the world's harshest anti hard drug laws on earth, and is a death trap for drug peddlers.
The number of Igbos executed for drug trafficking by Indonesia since 2000,is far greater than that of other Asian countries in the tropics put together.
As I write now, thousands of Igbo drug peddlers are languishing in Indonesia jails awaiting execution by lethal injection or firing squad.

It is not condoned where he comes from ba? Nothing but deceitful and easily discredited lies you tell to try and shade Yorubas you are desperately obsessed with and totally focused on trying to demonize.

You hypocrites should be facing the grossly disturbing aberrant nature of your people nothing, not even the assurance of a death sentence, seems capable of curbing with how they smuggle drugs to nation their execution is guaranteed once caught.

Below is Frederick Nwabufo, an Igbo, truthfully exposing the Igbo ‘Ikpu Alu’ criminal culture that encourages Igbos to go and commit heinous crimes worldwide to them be celebrated when they return to the SE with the filthy lucres gained from criminal conduct worldwide.

Nothing worse than you Igbos hypocritical antics similar to an olosho veteran of 30 years pretending to be a virgin. lol.
