The proverb suggests that when someone messes up twice, the effects of that mess-up are more noticeable. In the proverb, an old market woman has a basket full of goods that she sells at the market. If she were to fall over, the goods in her basket may spill out and get damaged. If this happened once, it may be seen as a stroke of misfortune. But if it happened twice, people may doubt if the woman is a numpty.

I think the proverb is trying to highlight how important it is to smarten up from your mistakes.

Agadi nwanyi bu ibu aga ahia, o daa nda n'abu, aguo ibu ya onu. Normal Igbo proverb and popularised by Oliver de Coque in one of his hits.

It simply means "no let them see you finish"

If you fall the second time, area go see you finish grin grin

They are about to see Wike finish. First Tambuwal and Atiku outsmarted him to PDP ticket...he formed G5 and was wailing up and down. He got some Intels from INEC that they will rig elections for Tinubu and he joined Tinubu in the last minute.

Now, Fubara is bulldozing his structures in Rivers State...na see finish, want happen to Wike like this

Good illustration. But I think he played smart with the APC election thingy.

He is not smart at all, He should have picked the senatorial ticket of his constituency, same thing Ahmed Lawan and Umahi did...now he is at the mercy of Tinubu. Minister is always loyal to the President, but as a Senator, he for dey the red chamber dey flex life. Tinubu fit change mind tomorrow now and he is gone

He does not mind, do you know why?

He'll be close to power and can now better plot his way to be President whenever BAT drops down.

Something Umahi et al.. can't afford
