simpleseyi:If this scenario happens, that might signify the beginning of the end of democracy in Nigeria, if not Nigeria itself. That would have been a direct affront on the constitution. Tinubu would have exercise dictatorial powers outside the constitution. The courts would have been dragged further into the mess, with conficting purchased injunction up and down. The whole of the Niger delta would have been up in flames, as the Ijaws would take the matter as an insult to its tribe. It's a pity Fubara chickened out, he was not ready to put himself at risk. Ps. The situation is still not resolved, as I don't see Fubara implementing the 7 items on the so called peace agreement. I don't see him reinstating the resigned commissioners loyal to Wike. There is no way Fubara can work with commissioners who clearly stated they can't take orders from him. So I expect us to be back to square one within a very short time. 1 Like |

simpleseyi: Buhari stopped subsidy by June, As events wouldn’t allow him to be president by that time, Tinubu had to announce it. Because provision was not meant for Subsidy after May. How would Tinubu run it since there was no provision for it in the budget. So he (Tinubu) had no choice. |

Bliss52:Efcc can't investigate a sitting governor. He has immunity while in office. Tinubu can't do much except orchestrate his impeachment behind the scene using the Rivers state law makers, or he can just use the compromised court of law to remove him. |

payaseriy:The issue would have been very messy, and the conflict would have shifted from a fight between Wike and Fubara to between Tinubu and Fubara. Tinubu and Wike would have won in the short run, but they would have lost out (along with Nigeria as a whole) in the long run. A conflict in the Niger delta would affect oil prices world wide. |

wirinet: Is it not same Ijaw that Tinubu pushed out of power in federal as ordinary non state actor, and in which nothing happened. Or which ijaw you are saying? Not even when that same Tinubu now occupied all the executive power. You guys would just be making urself happy by way of hallucinations. |

TruthsFM: Mumu Buhari played neutral. Buhari's cabal supported Obaseki because they were against Oshomole whom they believed was working for Tinubu then. Obaseki no fit tryam now.... just watch how easy APC will capture Edo next year. |

Fiscus105:You guys just make stupendous claims. It was not Tinubu that push Jonathan out of power, but myriad of Nigerians, including many Ijaws and Niger Deltans. Tinubu supported Jonathan in 2011 but supported buhari in 2015. That's just politics. The Ijaws as a people never begrudged Tinubu for it. The igbos begrudge Tinubu, but never the ijaws. Executive powers has limits. It does not include the threatening of a sitting governor. Let's wait and see. The solution is not yet resolved. Tinubu might still need to exercise that executive power you gave him to remove Fubara from office. |

TruthsFM:if the house of assembly continues to have different sittings, the NASS will take over. Even the demolition of the assembly is enough to declare state of emergency. You think you have more info than Peter Odili who advised Sim to accept the resolution.Odili knows how brutal a president can be if he decides to wield his powers. Odili saw everything during OBJ's time.some of you just rant online and won't save Sim if the presidency decides to frustrate him |

wirinet:beginning of which end Childish empty and impotent talk. Is it you that will end Nigeria or your family members? As long as Fubara does not have the support of the legislators he is empty Every other person in his situation that has succeeeded has controlled the legislators All those criminal actions like bulldozing the House of Assembly and presenting budget to 5 members of Assembly show he is not in charge Those actions are treason Adaka Boro was killed Nigeria did not end Saro Wiwa was killed Nothing happened Umuechem was razed Nigeria is still here Odi was levelled Nothing happened Alamisiegha was removed the sky is still up ther Alamiesigha was removed Nigeria did not scatter Stop all this noise I don't think you people realize the seriousness of the criminality of bulldozing the State House Bottom line Tinubu GAVE HIM DIRECTIVES That word directive used in the press was not a Mistake It was a message to people like you If Fubara did not comply You will see him paraded in handcuffs with blood on his mouth I do not think you realize how powerful the Federal Government of Nigeria is I am sure Tinu will not release any money to him to operate that budget |
