Quick one, I want to really understand the word Don't settle for less. For example as a man, marrying or dating a disabled person does that makes you a less man or settling for less..

In this context, don't settle for less means don't accept anyone unless your inner person accepts the person. Don't accept or reject because of external pressures. For example, if marrying the disabled person is what gives you fulfillment, don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

Not settling for less means not settling for behaviours than can be changed.

For example, lots of men won't settle for a rich prostitute. Despite her money, her past makes her undesirable. The ''less'' in this context would be her profession.

Or a woman settling with a rich man who is also a woman beater, and has questionable characters just because she wants to get married. Thats settling.

Of course we live in a time where settling has been over-stretched and used an umbrella to deny accountability, eg, where a gold digger use that term to hide the fact that she is a gold digger.

Settling for less in this case would be used to cover her bad behaviour, and give credence to her compulsive rejection of anything ''unwealthy''. Its easier to say ''he is broke'', so I rejected him, than to look inward and accept that you are the female version of the broke man you rejected, and even worse than him.

It means don’t settle for less than you deserve. If you think you deserve better then you should demand better. As humans, we know what we deserve. We know how we deserve to be treated and we shouldn’t settle for anything below that.

You shouldn't settle for less when you know deep down that you have the capacity to achieve more.

For example, if your annual income is high enough to comfortably pay for two bedroom flat, why go for a single bedroom flat?

All in all, it depends on your personal choice and satisfaction in deciding whether to settle for less or more.
