Danielnino00:ADL may not be thinking that way. Let's hope Osimhen will have no issue representing us at AFCON. |

Tobichimezie: You see? Misrepresenting facts. The Afcon you were talking about was the 2000 Afcon where Ikpeba's penalty was Misjudged to be on the line. So, I ask again, what did those guys achieve from the year 2002 onwards? Don't come at me with some more excuses. |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by quickberry(m): 5:28pm On Dec 24, 2023 |
Tobichimezie: Lies, they were beaten at the semi finals of 2002 AFCON. The AFCON you are referring to is 2000, not 2002. They had good coaches, unlike the present ones. |

humility33:Stephen Keshi's AFCON winning team is not less in quality than this present team, far from it. I can't see players that can stand shoulder to shoulder against players like Enyeama,Mikel and Victor Moses. Yes,Osimhen is ahead of Emenike, but he got the job done when it mattered most, can Osimhen get the job done? I hope so,only time will tell. Only if this coach can leave his ego and listen to reason. |

humility33:not sure the difference in quality is that much. this was the squad that played the final. How many people in the current squad can replace those in this squad without much stress

Samueltemi337: humility33, this is the post. I countered him that there is no more #10/AM in football. The role has been redefined. It has nothing to do with whether Iwobi is a 10 or not. 2 Likes |

Samueltemi337: No I disagree. His prior contract ran through summer 2025. In January 2025 he could have signed a pre-contract with any other club for a free transfer. He had ALL the leverage with Napoli. Napoli would have had to sell him in summer 2024 or risk losing him for a free in 6 months essentially. A β¬130M release clause is far too much. Kane was in a similar situation where he had 1-yr left on his contract, didnβt sign a new contract and Bayern bought him for β¬100M. Kane is a much better striker than Osimhen, although a few years older. Had Osimhen not signed a new contract, Iβm sure ADL would have accepted closer to β¬80-β¬90M this summer. ADL is greedy but heβs not stupid. Take something rather than nothing. 3 Likes |

Kog45:I think Ndidi has actually improved, despite it being the championship. Because as a matter of fact the Championship is far stronger than a lot of European top tier divisions. And moreover, there has beeen some notable improvements in his style of play. 2 Likes |

MetalJigsaw: The 10 role is literally dead in the modern game, due to how overloaded the areas 10s operates is. In a nutshell, in the modern game, most teams set up without a natural 10 role. 1 Like 1 Share |

Let us all put out all our differences as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, who put on the human form in order for him to demonstrate his gracious love by dying on the calvary cross for the atonement of all our sins. God's will is for us to know him and accept him as our savior, love our neighbors as we do love ourselves. Merry Christmas to all of us. Also flourishing and prosperous new year to come. Amen. 5 Likes |

Kog45: Are all first division leagues the same.β Are all second tier league the same quality β The EPL is the best most competitive league in the world and it's second tier has the highest quality among all second tiers in the world. If it's widely held and accepted that the Championship is way better than the Scottish premier League, which is rated 10 in Europe. How good is the Championship πβ 1 Like 1 Share |

BascoVanVeli: Amokachi on creativity mode. This match showed the vision and quick thinking of the players. Something seriously lacking in this current set tbh. That Oliseh assist, e sure me that whoever was there after one look up would still be wasting time instead of dropping that Ozil pass once. 2 Likes |

MetalJigsaw:Quite agree. His technical side has moved up a lil. The discipline in Leicester was limiting his other abilities, proving once again that mostly, a player's potential is directly proportional to the manager's style. Doesn't mean they can't or won't be able to do other stuff. I hope we see him on G/A sheets. I also hope our style of play is near modern enough. 1 Like |
