You still don't get it, the bubble left Lagos and is presently in the east, Lagos presently is in a hibernation mode while the east is on hyperactive mode.

The same country, the same season but different modes
I arrived Canada on the 24th for the new year holiday, I asked why the streets are empty, I was told it's because the Igbos based in Canada have returned to South Eastern Nigeria for Christmas celebration.

You drew yourself out. Christmas is an holiday across the globe in all countries that have a sizable Christian population.

Because it’s fixed as an holiday to celebrate Jesus don’t mean Jesus was born on 25th of December. Got it ? Go ask your pastor if 25th was Jesus birth date. Peace ✌🏾
Let me draw you like tiger generator grin

So Lagos became dry because Christians are observing their holidays, abi?

Sure, and that explains why hardly a person is to be found walking the streets of London, even in the West End - because all Igbos that give the city its energy have gone home. You must never have step foot out of Nigeria's borders to believe there's anything special about the Igbo presence in Lagos.
I hav traveled a good part of the world, it is winter in London, people keep indoors during winter, my family is in united states and are celebrating a low key Xmas, parts of the US is having einter

Even here in Niamey and Agadez, the streets are empty because the Igbos have gone home. We don't have winter here in Niger republic.

It's also winter in Nigeria, people are keeping indoors, everyone locked themselves in and are enjoying the winter.

Nooooo, Igbos cannot make Lagos to go dry grin

The funny thing is that Lagos will remain locked down until igbos come back by new year

Afghanistan too, 🇦🇫 Okoro and his spare parts business closed shops and the streets are empty. The igbos are strong.

Don't mind the people denying that they have a gead on their neck because igbos are mentioned.

A friend in Anchorage, Alaska just told me the city was a ghost town on Christmas day because Ibos left town. angry

PressMyButton:
I bet you if ibos leave Lagos, in 48hours all the shops will be taken over. When Ghanaians left in '83, ibos and minority tribes from SS migrated to Lagos and took over the shops. Ghanaians were selling almost everything and making money yet they never said they developed Lagos. I challenge ibos that have gone back home for holidays never to come back and let's see who would survive without who.
no Igbo man's shop will be taken over in 48hrs as long as he owns it or pays his rent. Go and take over an igbo man's shop in his absence and see if you'll come out alive.
Nonsense

Be it winter or summer o, any general holidays where all jobs observe it always leave the streets empty. It is just comot sense that nobody’s commuting to work but instead relaxing with their family.

It is only an unexposed naive person that will jump to the conclusion that the streets are empty because of their tribe. Very dumb comment.

There are many more people in Igbo villages, I hope it's because of winter too? No, the people dropped from Jupiter, not Lagos.

See stupid arguments grin

I'm talking of the shops at Trade Fair, Lagos Island, Ojo Alaba, Ladipo etc. Kindly stroll in any of the markets to take over the shops because the owners traveled.
